stop scrolling, damn ye!

Javascript / Prototype problem: I've written a function that inserts new content in a div whenever you click on a link in that same div. It works, but with the added "feature" of scrolling to the top of the page after the new content has been added. I don't want it to do this. How do I stop it? Here's the page. (Scroll down to see the link.) [more inside]

Windows XP crashing

Win XP Problem: Windows Explorer (and My Computer) keep crashing. If I bring either up, it crashes immediately (the computer doesn't crash). Around the same time, I noticed I'd acquired some spyware. So I ran Ad-aware, and it seemed to get rid of the bad stuff. But Explorer still crashes. I ran Norton Anti-Virus, which claimed it found viruses but couldn't fix them because I needed to adjust the properties of some of the Norton files. But I can't adjust these properties, because I can't get to the files (because Explorer crashes). Help.

Browsers with Word-Wrap

Browser questions: (1) are there any browsers that have word-wrap options? I find that when I read certain pages, specifically Usenet via Google Groups, each line runs way past the edge of the screen, and I have to scroll to the right to read. (2) Are there any browsers that have word-wrap options for print? I'm tired of having to remember to set orientation to landscape so the right edge of text doesn't get cut off. [more inside]
