I was recently gifted a knockoff Patek Philippe Celestial 5102 watch and am curios as to how properly set the watch's many functions. With all the face time & celestial functions I'm a bit overwhelmed. Does anyone have the instructions or know how to properly setting this watch?

I am looking for an analog wristwatch for my husband's birthday. I know nothing about watches; this is more of a meaningful/nostalgic gift for both of us. Price: let's say up to the $250 range. Anyone have model suggestions or tips for finding one?

how are jewelry brand watches (e.g. Cartier, Boucheron, Harry Winston) regarded among watch enthusiasts? Is it the same as 'designer' watches in that they're not taken seriously?

I recently received a Pulsar watch as a gift that came with
this manual. I can set the time and date, reset the stopwatch, etc., just fine, but I can't get the watch to actually start. This is my first dress watch, so I'm wondering if there's something so painfully obvious that the manual doesn't even mention it and I'm just missing it. I have a job interview in a couple hours and a functioning watch on my wrist would be lovely, so, any help from more experienced watchwearers out there would be appreciated.

Looking to purchase a handful of reasonably-priced ($100) pocket watches, but would like to see/check them out first, so am hesitant to use eBay. I really like old
Molnija watches but I don't see anyway I could get a handful in the next couple of weeks. I also like the Swiss Army pocket watches but don't like that they are close to $200 and don't have plated covers. Where is a good place to go check out some pocket watches (western and central Pennsylvania if possible)? Are they even sold in stores or does one absolutely have to get something like that online? If finding such things in a short window (must be purchased in next week and a half) is going to be an incredibly low-probability event, then does the hive mind have suggestions for other interesting and semi-permanent gifts for men?

I need a watch that has (a) an hourly chime (top priority), and (b) programmable alarms (I could sacrifice this), but also that doesn't look totally ugly (high priority). Can you help me find one?

I'm looking for
this watch, designed by Naoto Fukazawa. It is NOT part of his collection for Issey Miyake, nor was it designed for
±0. I can't find any details about it beyond what's on the IDEO page, and I'm guessing my inability to google in Japanese might be the problem. Help!

Looking for a watch that tells near-perfect time, doesn't require winding or battery replacement, has a comfortable band in hot and cold weather and will last at least 10 years. It just needs to show the time and preferably the date. It's either got to be something very special, or at the lowest price which meets the above standards. Style and uncomplicatedness a bonus.

I recently received
this cool watch as a gift. What I want to do is figure out how to do all the nifty functions, namely the bezel and all numbers running along the rim(s). It's a (partial) calculator I know, and has techy-sounding words like "STAT" and "NAUT" and "Flight Timer", which I deduce will allow pilots to...well, do what? Can someone help me decipher all the geeky goodness so I can impress my fellow nerd friends?

This is sad, but: until this summer, I'd never owned a conventional watch with hands -- only geeky digital watches like the Iron Man. Long story short, thanks to eBay, I now own a kitschy blue Swatch watch, but I've noticed it's been running about ten minutes slow every hour. I've also noticed the minute hand occasionally goes backward a few tics before sputtering forward. Is this a dying-battery problem, a watch-needs-winding problem, or a possible sand-in-my-watch problem stemming from last week's beach vacation?
