Is there an app for that?

I’m interested in the DURR, a simple display-less “watch” that vibrates every 5 minutes to influence your perception of the passing of time. Since DURR is not currently shipping and I already own an iPhone with a clock and a vibrating buzzer, I feel like this should be doable with an app. There’s already a Pebble app so I’m sure it’s not crazy. If this doesn’t currently exist, how hard might it be to write one myself? I’ve compiled things in XCode before but not written my own from-scratch Objective-C, so I’d be approaching this as a newcomer.

Replace the motion of my Pop-pop's pocketwatch

So I have my father's father's retirement pocketwatch. My father gave it to me almost twenty years ago and it has never worked. Recently I pulled it out of the china cabinet and tried to fix it myself following some youtube tutorials. Unfortunately I forgot that I am clumsy and bad at not losing small things. Long story slightly longer, I lost/broke a couple pieces. At that point I took it to a jeweler/watchmaker and he could not fix my mistake. Now I'm wondering if I can just replace the entire internal mechanism of the watch while keeping the part that has my Grandpa's name on it. I'm having no luck finding anything online. [more inside]

multi-alarm woman's watch

My googling is inadequate. I need a woman's watch, a small one, with TWO OR MORE daily alarms, for a friend who needs reminders to take her medications. I'm hoping to find a watch that costs less than $30 (the only one I can find is $70) [more inside]

How do I set the correct time on my Accurist watch?

I have an Accurist chronograph watch that I bought about 5 years ago and every so often it insists that the date is invalid and jumps forwards one month and one day. Before I dump it in the bin and buy a decent watch, can you help me set it correctly? [more inside]

When is a watch not a watch?

I would like to have a portable device for keeping track of the time that is not a wristwatch (I seem to inevitably lose all wristwatches) but can be stored and accessed with ease. I was thinking maybe something I could store in my wallet. Any suggestions or ideas?
