I grew up in a very conservative, rigid home. Whenever my (formally invited) friends would come over, we’d end up tiptoeing around, afraid to upset the balance of the exquisitely ordered, very solemn house. I am a person who always feels cold in the winter. Even if I bundle up at home in the evening with a sweater, long underwear, socks and slippers, I still feel cold, and then also sweaty and clammy. The one thing that addresses this problem quickly and effectively is a shot or two of whisky (or other alcohol), but that can't be the only solution, can it?

I'm born and raised in Southern California. This is a problem when the temperature drops and my excessively warm-blooded body can't handle the cold. I have a pair of fingerless glove inserts from an Army/Navy surplus store, but they're many years old and fairly intrusive anyway.
So I ask: what are the best gloves to wear while typing?
