Are there any great mixed rural/small-town/semi-urban long walks in the U.S.? I'm searching for multi-day, maybe even multi-week routes that are not strict backpacking and would not require the carrying of a tent. More inside.

I went for a rather long, brisk walk yesterday after an extended period of holiday-season inactivity and didn't think to stretch first (stupid, I know). Now I've got lower leg pain along the front where the leg meets the ankle, and the balls of my feet are hurting. Can anyone recommend some stretches or something else that will make the pain go away for now?

I want to walk a half marathon. My city's marathon is next fall, so I have plenty of time to get ready. I found various training plans online that range from 12-16 weeks, but that's really not what my question is about. I'm wondering, since I have almost a year till then, what should I do be doing now? Does it matter? I'm in good health but haven't exercised consistently lately. Also, general walking-a-half advice is very welcome!

I am trying to organize a solo, self-guided walking trip to bits of coastal Cornwall for late August and am having trouble planning a 6- to 8-day itinerary that has me end a day's walk where there's budget accommodation like hostels/backpackers/campsites.

I'm starting a project wherein I walk each and every block of every street in Manhattan, at least once, over the course of roughly 2-3 months. I want to chronicle this process of walking all of Manhattan in a daily blog, preferably with a daily picture and some text. What do I call this blog? (And should I use tumblr? And anything else to keep in mind?)
