I saw a video from microsoft research which showed a new editor with like "infinite zoom" when viewing all source code files, like flash vector files - really cool. But i can't seem to find this video again! Does anybody know what it's called? Or a link?

As a followup to this question (2 years ago)...
I need in WinXP to have three features (and I'll take any of the three, preferably all).
1) Bordered Cursor (round ring, called Pinpoint for OSX). Bonus for a visual change when you click (and right click)
2) Key overlay like KeyCastr for OSX, showing the audience control/alt keys as you type them in an overlay.
3) Dynamic Zoom (yes, I know it's open gl based, I have only open GL cards) to push in. MacOS Universal Prefs.

When I was a music student, we had a visit from a music psychologist who worked in a conservatory in London... I think it was The Royal Academy.
During her lecture, she described an experiment where performers were asked to play either with no physical movement, or with obviously physically expressive movements.
The performers who had no physical movement were divided into 2 groups; one group was asked to play in an emotionally expressive way, and the other group was asked to play mechanically.
The result of this experiment was that non-musicians could not tell apart the 2 groups of motionless performers, they could only tell a performer was being expressive if they could see them moving.
In short, non-musicians cannot tell if a musician is playing expressively by listening alone.
Musicians could of course tell the difference between all of them.
I'm now a music photographer, so these findings are of huge interest to me, especially when it comes to persuading musicians just how important it is to communicate on a visual level as well as a musical one.
Does anyone have any idea where I can reference this study, or anything remotely similar?
Thanks!

A friend of mine recently told me that she can't read comic books. She doesn't have problems with understanding text or visual information. She's been a voracious book reader since a very early age and she's a dedicated film watcher. I didn't entirely understand her explanation but she says that she never learn to decode the tight coupling of textual and visual information in comic books. Has anyone heard about or experienced something similar? [more inside]

I'm looking for examples of awesome-looking information displays. This can be anything from interesting OSs, "command center" control displays, and information software that is graphically impressive in its visual design. An information screen/program that makes you go "wow" on looks alone, whether public or proprietary. Any screenshots? I hope I'm describing this right.

I am a very visual eater and extraordinarily stubborn. After avoiding pretty much all fruit and veg my entire life I am trying to take the plunge and expand my dietary horizons (without expanding my waistband). How can I get over the mental block of eating green and orange stuff? Can anyone recommend an easy way to get on the fruit and veg wagon or recipes that conceal the deadly veg from mine eyes?
