Someone linked to CloudatCost

I have an Apple MacBook Pro Retina display with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M
I use Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac and I installed Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro with success, however windows does not recognize that I have nvidia installed in my system.
My question is:
How to let Parallels Desktop 9 to enable NVIDIA work in windows 8.1 pro?
If it does not support it, what other tools or software to make nvidia work in windows 8.1 pro?

We are trying out a virtual assistant service which uses remote human personal assistants based in the US that are communicated with through email and an app. The model is that you buy a month's package of requests that you can make (e.g. 15 task requests, with each task not meant to take more than 20 minutes). It can be a bit difficult to think up tasks for the assistants to do, especially if you only want to make requests for tasks that will save you a big amount of time (rather than tasks - make a restaurant booking etc.- which you could do yourself in just a little more time than it takes to make a request). What are your tips for using this kind of service most effectively? What kinds of task requests are most "bang for your buck" , bearing in mind the limit of a standard month's package of 15 tasks? Thanks!

After years of academia & the endemic rootlessness that comes with it, I have finally gotten myself a Permanent Job (yay!!) which means, among many things, that I can finally consolidate my book diaspora into one place. I've a huge number of books which are both physical and digital. Here's the problem: I want my library space to reflect both. Any suggestions? Details below. [more inside]

I'm a low- to medium-grade computer techie. I've recently fallen in love with the remote desktop concept (I've been using TeamViewer
). I have my main PC with all my data and the software I use, setup how I like it, and then remote into that from mobile devices, friend's computers, work computers, etc., even my laptop I now prefer to use as a portal into my main PC. [more inside]

Longshotfilter: I wanted to know what was the name of the show back in the 90's, that featured a final episode (or I think it was) based around this computer web system with a female voice. She was the mainscreen representing what we now know as the WWW and this came pretty much before the web went completely commercial. She instructed some teen to disconnect her because the human population was dying and there were only two left. Does anyone remember?

I just finished reading Pat Cadigan's Tea From An Empty Cup
which is one of the texts of my Lit and Tech Hons course. I started thinking about why the author refers to her world as AR (Artificial Reality) as opposed to VR (Virtual Reality), and that raised all kinds of questions about identity, real, fake and simulacra.
So I'm curious to know what people see as the difference (if any) between VR and AR.

I want to promote my Young Adult fantasy novel about Morgan le Fay on the web. The biggest audience should be young women and libraries; Wiccans, medieval re-enactors and King Arthur fans would dig it, too (I hope).
How can I best promote the book myself? What sites and blogs should I contact? Are author's tours effective? What should I definitely put my efforts into and what's not worth my time? [more inside]
