I used to struggle with depression and had a complete lack of confidence. As a result I went through my teen years with such a lack of confidence that I couldn't entertain the notion that any girl would be interested in me despite several making it bluntly clear that they were. Either way I am now 21 and have started getting my life on track. I still struggle with depression but for the most part I am in a much better place with my self confidence and my life overall. The issue I have is that I am a virgin and have literally never even kissed anyone. Obviously I feel great shame over this but I am attempting to not go into a shame spiral as a result.

Currently, I have a Virgin Mobile PAYG smartphone. I'd like to get a phone on my family's Sprint plan instead (for the same monthly price as Virgin, I can get unlimited whatever). However, Sprint says they can't port my phone number because Virgin is a reseller of theirs. I've heard that you can port your number to Google Voice for a small fee, and then have Sprint port the number to a Sprint phone, but this advice was found on a forum somewhere and no one backed up the claim that it actually worked. Would it work? Have you done this? I'd really like to keep my phone number, and before I risk losing it, I'd like to know. Thanks.

Now that the

$30/mo. prepaid plan. I don't make all that many calls so the limited number of minutes is fine by me. I live and work in Brooklyn, and on account of that spend most of my time in the borough. There are some dated questions here that claim that service is spotty in Brooklyn— is that still the case?

Flying in February on JetBlue from Syracuse to JFK, then taking a Virgin Atlantic flight to LAX for five days. My problem is that I should arrive at JFK around 7:45am, and my Virgin Atlantic flight is scheduled to leave at 9:05am. How screwed am I if I decide to go with one piece of baggage along with my carryon and laptop bag and hope not to miss the flight. Should I just pack well and go with the carryon?
