How do I find out more about the Texas Brand Boot Company?

Seeking history of the Texas Brand Boot Company. I have a pair of vintage ladies cowboy boots, and I'm trying to guesstimate how old they are. They could also possibly be girls boots, because they are a size 5, which is usually a size you find both in kids and women's shoes. The company that made them, Texas Brand Boots (which was actually based in Tennessee), seems to be defunct as of the past few years. Apparently, their niche was affordable American-made boots. The oldest mention I can find of them are late '70s print ads on eBay.

My boots seem older than late '70s due to the style, construction, and materials, even compared to the ones in the ads and on eBay. I have no way of confirming this, however, without more info on whether the company even existed before that. I don't care if they're not older, since I bought them for their looks, not their age, but I'm just curious.

Does anyone know where I can find more info on this company's history? Or know that they were around before 1978?

Where can I sell vintage clothes in L.A.?

Can you recommend a good place in Los Angeles to sell vintage clothes? I used to sell vintage stuff all the time in the Bay Area, but haven't yet had the chance to do it down here. Has anyone had experience with particular stores in L.A.? It would be great if they offered a reasonably decent price (though this isn't the most lucrative endeavor) and if the store wasn't a bastion of hipper-than-thou attitude.

Again, I'm looking for places to sell to, rather than buy from.

Flea market on Perry Street?

Each of the past two springs (May? June?), my girlfriend has stumbled across a flea market / street fair in Manhattan on Perry St. near Bleeker. It doesn't seem to be there every week (at least the times we've walked by), and we can't find any reference to it anywhere online. Any fellow NYC vintage-shopping folks know what she's thinking of, and when/if it might reappear?

Vintage Clothing Needed, Stat!

I need to find good thrift stores (or just not expensive stores) in Atlanta that sell late fifties to early sixties clothing (vintage or restyled, as long as the restyling isn't too weird). We are also planning to hit Athens, Georgia looking for the same stuff, so anything there will be helpful as well. This is for a play, so we will need men's and women's clothing in a variety of sizes. Some of the scenes are suit-worthy (for the girls, the Jackie Kennedy look) and the rest of it is fairly "weekend at Hyannisport." We sort of want to avoid sewing but will do it if we really have to, so anywhere (local or good price online) that sells vintage patterns isn't totally out of the question. I know about ebay and rustyzipper.com (I've been googling), but in this realm I'm really looking for reccomendations as to any pattern provider you've used that has delivered, both in the sense of quality and timeliness.
