I'm still trying to connect my upcoming XBOX 360 to my computer monitor. The monitor has only VGA and DVI-D inputs and no audio output, however, so I'm having issues tracking down what needs to be done. Currently I'm fairly sure I've got what I need for
video, but I still need help figuring out
how to connect audio.

There's this quasi-educatainment game that I had in the 80s. It was CGA graphics, on MS-DOS... The idea was breeding cats with dominant and recessive genes. The only cat game I can seem to find online is Alley Cat, but that's nothing like it. This game is a grid of something like 4 cats across, and 2 down. I don't remember what the exact point of the game was.

I'm getting an XBOX 360 shortly, but I have a few questions about setting it up. For one, my television is very bad, so I'd like to use my computer monitor for it - should picking up a VGA cable be fine?
Secondly, I'm not sure how the XBOX's audio ports are set up - can I just plug my headset with a standard headphone and microphone plug into it, or do I need adapters?

I'm making a mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, set in Prussia around the turn of the nineteenth century (late 1700s or early 1800s), and I'm looking to add short written excerpts on the theme of abstract justice versus the collateral human cost of achieving it as notes for the player to pick up.

Cheesy, early 80's flick set either in the present or near future where punks (outrageous makeup and outfits) played some sort of videogame tournament on platforms, in a darkly lit arcade w/ huge joysticks sticking upward from the floor. It wasn't a straight comedy as I think there was dire consequences for losing. Death or something. I think I remember somebody losing and trying to escape their fate by running away into a nearby room w/ a girl while the crowd freaked out. I can't remember a single actor from the film but I think I might have seen it on USA's "Night Flight".
I know I don't have much to go on but would love any/all help to figure this out. I've searched and searched but come up empty. Thank you!

Earlier this year I watched a demo of an upcoming multi-player, online video game. In this game, you explored and build structures and traps using an extensive toolkit of components. Some items had sensors that could trigger events on other items. Tower-defense + sandbox + player-vs-player. Help me remember the game's name?

Does anybody know of a computer game that is what I would call "Parallel Strategy"? That is, it's not realtime in the sense that there are discrete turns, but it's not turn based, because plays are not sequential, but played in parallel (that is, all players make their moves in the alloted time for the turn/round). When the time is over for that round, conflict resolution rules happen...

Looking for a mid-90s PC puzzle game based on a cube. Holo or Light or something -- New age/tribal music... I don't remember exactly how it worked, but you try to get the marked side of the cube to land face down on a specific square on a grid (I think the location kept moving, though I'm not sure). Anyways, it might have come with my old IBM Pentium as a prepackaged thing. Any ideas?

Types of Games: I have come across
various attempts to catalogue the possible varieties of stories that exist. The basic assumption being that all plots (narratives?) can be be boiled down to one among only a few types e.g. Hero leaves the kingdom; Hero steals fire, etc. I am looking for a similar classification system for GAMES, that is: how many fundamental types/kinds of game are there?
