Best Console Video Games Enjoyable in One Hour

What are the best recent console video games that can be enjoyed in an hour or less? I'll be at PAX East this weekend, and since I don't own a console newer than a Gamecube, I'd like to spend some time at the Console Freeplay. They have a library of dozens of modern consoles and thousands of games that you can borrow for an hour at a time. Lots of the big games require at least a few hours to get anywhere in the story. What doesn't? What are the best casual or semi-casual games from this generation that I can enjoy in an hour? [more inside]

Awesome free Windows racing games

So there are a lot of free (as in beer) FPSes out there. Are there any free racing games of similar caliber? [more inside]

Best USB gamepad that works with Linux?

I'm building a video game emulation machine. What would be the best USB gamepad I could buy that would work with Linux? I don't have anything newer than Genesis/SNES games, so it only really needs six face buttons and two shoulder buttons. I really (really) liked the Xbox 360 controllers when I tried them at E3, but I don't want to wait until they're available. I also like the X-Arcade, but I don't think I could excuse the pricetag.
