What's a good video game controller for a toddler?

What's a good video game controller for a toddler? Absolutely required: A reliable way of connecting it to a Windows 7 or 8 laptop. I don't mind using JoyToKey or 3rd-party drivers if necessary. Preferred: Wireless, so it can't be used to pull the laptop off the desk; Durable and/or cheap, in case it gets thrown or dropped; Simple, few inputs. [more inside]

Help me find a gift for my techie nephew!

Are there any computer games that teach programming to teenagers? My nephew just turned 13, and he's a budding techie/robotics whiz. I'd like to get him interested in programming, but he'll probably be interested only if there is some game involved. Any ideas?

Why aren't other developers following Valve's Steam model?

If Valve's Steam means that games developers can do away with publisher, distributor and retailer overheads... um... why isn't everyone doing it, or similar things?
