My wife just took over ownership of the vet clinic on our small, tight-knit Island community in the Pacific Northwest. She wants to find some permanent, memorable way to honor the previous owners, who ran the clinic for 30+ years. Help us think beyond a plaque.

Can I mix interferon with food to dose my cat? She's been diagnosed with stomatitis, a viral mouth infection, so she'll be taking interferon for at least a few months. I'm getting conflicting information from the two vets who have seen her about how to administer it.

I'm bringing my eleven-year old cat to the vet tonight for his first teeth cleaning. I know he has to have blood tests first, and that anasthesia will be involved. The vet said there might be some extractions depending on the condition of his teeth. Can anyone give me a ballpark on what this is going to cost? I need to figure out how to juggle my finances to pay for it.

NYCFilter: I don't like my veterinarian. I'd like to switch. Does anyone have any recommendations for vets in the city? I'm in East Williamsburg, and would prefer if said vets could be accessable via the L line.
