I'm interested in visiting a Frost Landmark in September as part of a road trip to Northern New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts in September.
But there are so many to choose from! And my traveling companion probably won't put up with visiting ALL of them. So help me pick, particularly if you have experience with visiting one or some or all of them. [more inside]

We are planning to go on a road trip to Vermont (from Toronto) this summer. Any suggestions what we should do there? Places we must visit, etc.
Also, would like to know possibles mode of accomodation in the area.

Hi, MeFi's collective oracle.
I was wondering if anyone out there has ever successfully rented as vacation accommodations a dorm room from either UVM, Burlington College or Goddard College in Burlington, Vermont. I'm planning a Memorial-Day getaway there and, because my needs are few, I figured that staying in a dorm room might be the most cost-effective option.
Any tips, tricks or other insights would be gratefully received!

What's a good and cheap way to get from New York City to Middlebury, Vermont without a car or jet pack? My gf is attending a summer session there and finding transportation tangled and expensive.
