I am cutting down on pork, carbs and red meat. I would like my new diet to lean towards vegetarian meals.
I can't handle spicy food and it seems like most of the recipes I keep finding are spicy and/or have curry. I also do not eat fish/seafood.

I'm looking for a dish native to New Zealand that's suitable for taking into work and sharing with colleagues, some of whom are vegetarian and vegan. Something that isn't very British (the office is in the UK, so that would make it less interesting) but not necessarily Māori.

I'm going to a gig tonight at the Roundhouse in London with some friends. We'd like to go somewhere to get some food beforehand and I'm wondering if any users here have any suggestions. Most of us are vegetarian and none of us have much money so ideally we'd want a cheap and cheerful little café or something. Anywhere within walking distance of the venue would be great. Thanks!

Hey all, I'm looking for a fancy, expensive, special occasion type restaurant in Ottawa that has more than one Vegetarian entree on the menu. I'm taking my vegetarian girlfriend out for our anniversary and am having trouble finding any "fine dining" type places that have some veggie items on the menu. She is strict vegetarian so fish is out. Italian is always an option but I was hoping the hive mind could come up with some other ideas.

A friend just shared her recipe for "Friday Chili," which requires 5-10 minutes per day, starting Monday, to yield a steaming pot of chili for dinner Friday night. I love this idea. Can anyone else share incremental recipes that spread out the effort of preparing a meal over several days? Bonus points if they're vegetarian friendly.
