I have a long wish-list of holiday destinations, and I would like to edit it down a bit. Which countries are difficult or impossible for vegetarian/vegan travellers? And which ones are terribly hard but worth making an exception for?

I'll be in Washington D.C. from December 26th to the 31st. I'm staying at the Omni Shoreham in Woodley Park. Please tell me about cheap vegetarian eats, good coffee shops and bars, and free wifi in my neighborhood and elsewhere.

Chicago weekend! We're staying in the Loop, but I don't want to pay ridiculous parking prices. I also want to go out for a good meal at a restaurant that can make happy both a vegetarian and a steak-lover (at the same time).

I'd like recommendations for vegetarian dining/drinking in Brussels; not necessarily vegetarian-specific restaurants, but any bars, cafes or other sites with a reasonable selection of non-meat/fish based dishes.

Where can I eat vegetarian while staying in Paris? I'm planning a week's holiday in Paris or perhaps nearby, and would like a hotel that's either vegetarian, or very sympathetic to a vegetarian diet. What are my options? Are there any options?

Vegan airport/airline dining - connect and lunch in Dallas (DFO) or Chicago (ORD)? Somewhere else? How long to allow for a connection to assure we can eat at the restaurant you recommend? We're traveling from Raleigh-Durham to San Francisco and it's looking kind of grim for in-flight meals; it's > 7 hours overall travel time but broken into two segments; best advice for not-having-to-pack-lunch?

I'm visiting South-East Alaska in mid-May and am in need of vegetarian recommendations for the best non-leather shoes to buy/bring for the conditions, and best veg restaurants to eat at, too! Recommendations for either, please.

I'm looking for a good vegetarian-focused (as opposed to just vegetarian-friendly) restaurant or buffet for Thanksgiving brunch/dinner somewhere around the Twin Cities area. It doesn't need to be actually in Minneapolis or St. Paul, but within a few hours' driving distance is preferred. Bonus points if the city where this elusive destination also has family friendly Thanksgiving-themed events like hay rides, etc.

Healthy restaurant options in the Big Easy? I'm visiting New Orleans for a week with family, and I've been warned that the place should be called "the Big Greasy." Does anyone have recommendations for fresher, greener eating options? I've seen sites dedicated to helping people pick restaurants, but I'm hoping some here have personal Nawlins experience.
