vegan junction city KS - "No results found"

Vegan eats in Junction City, KS? I'll be in Junction City, KS today around 10am. I'm looking for a place with vegan options. So far (via Google) I've found 2 coffee shops that aren't open on Sundays, a Mexican restaurant that no longer exists, and a Chinese restaurant that doesn't open until 11:30am. I won't be in town long and I'll want to eat shortly after arriving. Fast food is always an option (I know that I can easily eat at Subway or Taco Bell) but a local sit-down place is preferred. Bonus points if it's got good coffee and/or is close to I-70 highway.

Happycow.net has nothing. Google is failing me. Please help me to find a decent vegan meal.

Thank you!

Veggie friendly posh restaurants in London?

Can anyone recommend a restaurant in London that is a) upmarket, b) romantic, c) most importantly, vegetarian friendly? I know we've got our fair share of good restaurants, but what I'd like to find is one where some thought has gone into the vegetarian options on the menu, i.e. more than just a token risotto. It doesn't have to be all veggie at all, just somewhere where a veggie doesn't feel like they're getting no choice and second best, just because they don't eat meat or fish.

This is for a birthday meal, so ideally it should be somewhere a little special, and budget is unimportant. I'm open to suggestions from any cuisine, but I guess modern european would be preferable.

Thanks in advance.

Reconcile the vegetarian with the picky eater

Help me find an L.A. restaurant that accommodates a vegetarian and a picky eater! So my brother is coming to visit me in Los Angeles for a few days and we're planning on going out Sunday evening to eat along with an aunt who lives in the area. I'm having trouble trying to find the right place to go though. My brother is a vegetarian (sort of, he eats fish, so call it what you will) and my aunt is an extremely picky eater (tends to only like simple food she can identify. Mostly "American" cuisine. If she can't have it cooked to order, meaning well-done meat and willing to take substitutions on absolutely everything, she gets upset). Personally, I'll eat pretty much anything, but my brother won't be satisfied with the salad/mixed vegetable options at many restaurants and if it's "weird" my aunt won't like it. What's a good option to take these people out somewhere they'll both be satisfied? My brother is going to be staying near Hollywood so somewhere in that vicinity is preferable, but not required. Something that represents the cuisine that Los Angeles has to offer is a plus, as it's my brother's first time coming here.

Romantic restaurant in St. louis?

i'm looking for a romantic vegetarian friendly restaurant in st. louis i'm in a long distance relationship, and there's been some friction as of late (not the good kind either *ba-damp pssh*). I'm going to visit her in st. louis this coming weekend, and I'd like to take her someplace nice and romantic, with minimal amounts of pretension/stuffiness. She's vegetarian, so if there's some place that does higher end, veg-friendly food that would be perfect.

Right now Vin de Set is pretty much the best I've got. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

What to do in VA Beach

Where can 2 vegetarians eat, drink and be merry this weekend in Virginia Beach? My girlfriend and I are going to Virginia Beach for the weekend. We're staying on Atlantic Ave & 35th St. We're both vegetarians (not vegan): What/where are some good restaurants with a decent amount of vegetarian options (i.e. more than a veggie burger and a salad bar). We're looking both for places to get dinner and breakfast/brunch places. They don't have to be fancy, though if you know of any nicer places, we wouldn't necessarily be opposed to them. We'd prefer that they be within reasonable walking distance from our hotel. Breakfast is a bit trickier than dinner- not only are we vegetarians, but my girlfriend doesn't like eggs, so any place with good pancakes or bagels would be ideal. (We are New Yorkers. When I say "bagel", I mean a good bagel, not a piece of bread shaped like a doughnut.)

Also, where should we drink? At home, we tend to prefer dive bars without a huge crowd. No need to fancy cocktails, but a pool table would be a big plus. Again, walking distance is preferred.

Anything else we shouldn't miss while we're there? We'll be there from Friday through Sunday, and our days are pretty open. The only things that we specifically don't want to do are bike rentals (I don't know how to ride one) or surfing lessons (Not there for long enough/I'm a terrible swimmer.)

Where can a group, half of whom don't eat meat, get awesome cheap food in Chicago?

Help me find places to eat in Chicago. I don't think I've been to a bad restaurant there, but I'm looking for new places, plus I'm looking to save money on this trip. For added difficulty, 2/3 of my entourage will be vegetarian, so a variety for them would be nice. We won't have a car, so it needs to be near the train, too. Or for extraordinarily good food, the bus.

Vegetarian Food Off the Pike

Vegetarian RestaurantFilter: Can anyone suggest a good vegetarian restaurant near the Mass Pike (probably in Worcester or Springfield)? I'm taking a friend to Boston for the week; we're heading out tomorrow. My plan is to get dinner on the way, but I think that's scared her, as she's vegetarian and it would start the trip with a bad taste in her mouth if we went to a fast-food/rest-stop place. I'd like to surprise her by stopping at a good vegetarian place (or place with good vegetarian options) that's not too out of the way (so that we can still arrive at our hosts at a reasonable time - around 8). Google maps says that Springfield and Worcester are the major cities we'll be near from 5-7. I'd prefer to not drive anywhere in Boston except to and from our hosts'.

The only one I've found so far is Quan Yin Vegetarian, which has few reviews and no menu online, so I'm appealing to the Hive Mind for recommendations. Thanks!

Romantic (lacto-)vegetarian-friendly places in Manhattan on the UES?

I'm trying to book dinner reservations on Valentine's Day in Manhattan, as the really nice places are filling up fast. Suggestions for romantic (lacto-)vegetarian-friendly places on the UES? Budget of ~$100 per person, pre-tip.

A restaurant with lots of mixed drink and cocktail options would be preferable. So far I've found this and this question, but I'm looking for places that are not hardcore vegan (milk products open up a great many options!), and a place somewhere uptown and probably a bit fancier.

Thanks!

Does anyone know of a really nice (vegetarian-friendly) restaurant for a small post-wedding lunch/brunch in the NH seacoast area?

Does anyone know of a really nice (vegetarian-friendly) restaurant for a small post-wedding lunch/brunch in the NH seacoast area? My financee and I are getting married the morning of Sat, June 16 in Portsmouth, NH in a very small, family-only ceremony. Only about 10-15 people. We want to find a lunch/brunch restaurant for post-wedding food and celebration in southern ME, seacoast NH or northern MA seacoast. Must be reasonably fancy and vegetarian friendly, as there will be 4 vegetarians including myself. Private room not required.

Suggestions would be most appreciated!

honest eaters

Is there a polite way of telling people who only eat chicken and fish that they are not vegetarians? I'm at my wits end with this. I help run a little italian restaurant. So, we put pork in everything. Facts are facts.

Of course i smile at people who say, "I don't eat meat. I'll have the chicken." Or far worse, "You must remove the heads from these shrimp. I am an animal rights activist and I cannot look at their eyes while I'm eating."

I kid you not. A direct quote. Erfh.

So-called vegetarians who eat cheese and wear leather irk me, too.

I really do try not to judge, but I'd really like something like an elixir for my brain so I can be more understanding. And calm. Or some way to politely suggest that salmon is not a vegetable?

For the record, I am completely at ease with actual vegetarians. Just walk the walk. I'm fine with kosher. Do what you do, eh? We don't actually let vegans into our restaurant, so no worries there. They can live how they like. It makes no difference to me.

Any suggestions?

And, yes, I am surely stirring the pot. But some friends of mine and I have been discussing this often of late, and yer all so darn smarty...so let loose the dragon.

nice veg restaurant in manhattan?

Looking for an awesome, romantic, reasonably-priced restaurant in New York City with excellent vegetarian dishes. Does anyone have any reccomendations for a vegetarian (or a place with some great veggie dishes) restaurant in Manhattan where I could bring a date? I say reasonably-priced because I'd like to go somewhere nice, but not pay a ridiculous amount. Extra points if its in/around Gramercy.
