I am going to New Orleans on business. I will be on the edge of the French Quarter and am looking for restaurants that serve at least one vegetarian dish, preferably in or near the French Quarter. Cheap is not required and in fact for many meals higher end would be preferable. [more inside]

Vegetarian in New Orleans. I will be there during Mardi Gras, and need to find some good chow. (The previous question tagged with vegetarian and New Orleans was pretty disappointing). I will be in Jefferson Parish, mainly, and on a pretty tight budget. Also needed- recommendations for good record stores in the Big Easy. I will be there next week.

Healthy restaurant options in the Big Easy? I'm visiting New Orleans for a week with family, and I've been warned that the place should be called "the Big Greasy." Does anyone have recommendations for fresher, greener eating options? I've seen sites dedicated to helping people pick restaurants, but I'm hoping some here have personal Nawlins experience.
