I have a huge bank of vector images that I share with my design team. We want to be able to tag them and search them and scroll through them quickly. We also need everybody to be able to see the tags and add to them. The easy tagging is especially important. I've tried out Bridge but I am a little disappointed. Any suggestions? [more inside]

I am going into more detail than might be necessary to head off questions... Last night I stayed in a nice upper-quality chain hotel that no business person or middle class leisure traveler would ever think twice about booking (think luxury lobby, lots of services, in a downtown urban area, not a highway discount chain.) I dropped into bed exhausted and didn't check the sheets first. When I woke up, I discovered large amounts of dried but still fairly recent looking blood in the sheets. (Definitely not old stained/washed, rather flaking, newish rust color, etc.) [more inside]
I'm trying to make a 24x36" poster from some Excel tables. They're somewhat complex -- half-finished example here (Flickr link). I exported PDFs from Excel and used Inkscape to arrange them. But Inkscape can't handle this much stuff at one time without becoming unusably slow. How can I arrange the layout while keeping everything vector? [more inside]
My company and industry is under widespread and sophisticated B2B wire fraud attack. Help me locate the vector or mechanism, please. [more inside]
I'm searching for a size-accurate outline image of a unibody MacBook keyboard (basically an accurate diagram/wireframe). For this outline file, any format will work, although Vector (.ai, .svg, etc.) would be ideal. I've tried googling but the results tend to be photorealistic images with broad outlines, shadows, etc. I'm looking for a technical drawing like a blueprint. The goal is to make custom keyboard covers with multiple languages by die-cutting and laminating paper; these would be one piece, hence the need for precision. I'm thinking there must be an diagram of MBP keyboards one on the web somewhere... Any advice on where to find one would be highly appreciated. (As far as I know, the keyboard layout is the same for all models except the 11 inch/Air.) Thanks in advance.
I was walking my dog off leash in a wooded area about an hour ago. From about 100 yards away I saw her playing with and nosing something I assumed to be a dead animal. Yelling "drop it," I headed over to her. She finally dropped it and i saw it indeed was a squirrel -- but not dead, just really sick. The squirrel lay on its side panting heavily while my dog now watched it curiously. My dog could never have caught a healthy squirrel in this woods filled with squirrel-escape-trees, and so I am very sure my dog was playing with an already-sick squirrel that she found lying on the ground. I'm looking for something akin to Rpg Maker VX Resource Planet, except with vector art. I'd like resources for public domain or CC-licensed vector art assets for use as placeholders in games. I'd prefer SVG format and paths that are as simple and small as possible, but anything convertible to SVG is cool.
I'd like to produce an offset-print-quality map, modeled after airline flight path maps, which graphically reproduces hundreds of point-to-point connections: in this specific case, between radio transmitters and reception locations. What software is capable of producing some variation on this, perhaps by putting in GPS coordinates? (OS X please.)

I have a logo in both .ai and .eps formats. It looks mostly right when placed into a comp, but part of it has a solid white background behind it. However, when I directly open either of the files in Illustrator, a large portion of the image is missing. It seems like the portion that's missing may well be the section with the white background. Is there an easy way to manage extensive amounts of .eps & .ai files (Adobe Illustrator) into a .pdf catalog format? I'm looking for a large version of the classic Victorian "this way finger". A vector file would be ideal, but any large enough raster images would do as well. Also, what exactly would you call that thing? I know it would be considered a dingbat but I can't imagine shopowners ordering signs saying "Give me that finger thing, you know, the uhh, finger?" I was able to find some pointing fingers but they're too clean. The Victorian style in the first link is what I'm looking for.
