I have a free afternoon in Vancouver and would like to do a little shopping. I'd like to find one area I can go to for some shopping. What I'm looking for: stuff for kids, women's clothes and (maybe) food stuff I can take back to the US. Ideally stuff that is a little different then what I'd find in the US, and not ridiculously expensive. What neighborhood or street should I go to? Any specific store recommendations?
I'm going to be up in Vancouver this weekend and want to shop for a new spring coat. Something trenchcoat style but not in black or beige - cool colors or prints/patterns would be better. Size 12 or M/L, between $100 and $200. The style constraints are that it should not be teenagery but not dowdy either - I like classic cuts but trendy colors and patterns. I already plan to check out The Bay.
Is there a website that lists all of the Opening Ceremony outfits for the Vancouver Olympics and where to buy them? I really liked the track jackets from the Netherlands/zubaz from Azerbaijan -- and want one -- but can't suss out all of the Flash Olympic sites. [more inside]
Where could I purchase an animal-sound-in-can toy in Vancouver, BC? You know, those small cans that you tip over and upon return to the upright position they moo/baa?
