Should I take a "lady vacation" that could be either horrible or amazing

A group of friends are going to Iceland. I said I would go: it's been a rough two years and "I'm worth it." But now it looks like the trip will cost about 800-1000 euros. I'm not sure I'm worth... that much (existential snowflakes below). Should I bail? I am losing sleep over this. [more inside]

Is it timing? New York Vacation Filter

My partner and I are going on holiday to New York from the 5th-11th November. Yay! It's a big trip for us for lots of reasons, including a couple of milestone birthdays, his being on the 7th which is why we're travelling then. What we didn't figure in was the NY Marathon being held on the day after we arrive, and something about an election or something on the 8th idk apparently I've been on Mars? So in addition to the usual questions I'd like advice on navigating these events please. [more inside]

How to take 3 people on a winter beach vacation?

My family has a tradition of traveling together for a week or so during the winter to Mexico (or similar) to get away in lieu of Christmas. Usually, this has been pretty easy to pull off, because all the couples simply booked the rate for two adults. I got divorced recently, and trying to fit three people in a room at one of these resorts seems crazy and super unaffordable. Does anyone have any tips or hacks to help us figure out the logistics of this? [more inside]

Where can you go on vacation and leave the driving to others?

I live in Tennessee and just got back from a cruise, we got ourselves to Nashville airport and was chauffeured from that point forward, shuttle to hotel, shuttle to ship, tours at our ports. It was so relaxing not having to drive and just let others do it for you. What are some vacations that would be like this besides a cruise? I just don't enjoy driving in strange places and am willing to pay for it once a year. Needs to be in USA although we did go to the Caribbean on the cruise.
