My Macs have decided suddenly to merge the information on two kinds of files into a single file listing. As I use separate programs for these, switching back and forth is really not an option, and manually setting things is going to eventually drive me crazy. Help!

My 3 year old female cat (DSH) is having urinary issues. We are on day 9 of antibiotics for a UTI (she had no crystals on her UA)and she is not improving. She will be going to the vet for a recheck soon, but I'd really like to hear other people's experiences with UTIs and bladder stones in cats. Does anyone recommend a particular supplement like cranberry? Should I ask the veterinarian to culture her urine for the right antibiotic? Money is in short supply, but I LOVE my cat and will do whatever it takes to get her better.

I'm pretty sure my female cat has a urinary tract infection -- she's dragging her butt, licking herself all the time, going to the litter box a lot, etc. I'm going to take her to the vet, but I'm having trouble finding one that's open on Sundays. Is it okay for this to wait until Monday or should I go to an emergency animal hospital?

I recently started getting UTIs and bladder inflammation after every weekend I go to see my boyfriend and have sex with him. I need some guidance so I know what kinds of questions to ask my doctor, 'cause I am damn tired of needing to pee in pain every 10 goddamn seconds.

Last Thursday and Friday I had really bad pain in my back on the right side, in the middle – just about where the ribcage ends. I had a low-grade fever on Friday evening. On Saturday morning I decided that the pain was bad enough to necessitate a trip to an Urgent Care facility, as my doctor does not have weekend hours.

Will an insurance company cover a UTI and/or bacterial infection possibly acquired before getting insurance? What if these infections are recurrent over the past 12 months, but the treatments have been paid for out of pocket?

Is my doctor incompetant? I thought it was a UTI, he thinks it's a fungal infection, oh and also herpes and chlamydia depending on when you ask him. What gives? (slight amount of gross).

I'm 99% sure I've got a UTI (had one before, have all the same symptoms now), but I can't see my doctor until Monday. I'm not on antibiotics. Is it a horrible idea for me to drink copious amounts of beer tomorrow?

I know you're not my doctor. I had a UTI diagnosed today -- neglected to mention that when I've wiped, the tissue has occasionally (read: 3 times today) come away a very, very pale pink. Pee is normal colored. Am I bleeding? Should I go to the ER? I took my first antibiotic a few hours ago, FWIW.

Starting to freak out about whether a UTI has spread to my kidney, and whether the antibiotics I have are enough. Supposed to be on a LONG plane ride in a day to a place where I don't speak the language and may not get good medical care. Help please?

I have been beset by crappy luck and chronic health problems in the past year. It's been extremely stressful, worsened by the fact these very health problems prevent me from employing my normal methods of dealing with stress. I'm spiraling quickly downward into mood-swings and depression and I don't know what to do. How did you deal with your stressful periods?
