Oops UPS

I had a return to Amazon. I printed the label they provided and put it on the envelope. I didn't realize it was a UPS label and not USPS until last night when I went to check the status of my return. I had accidentally put the envelope in a USPS mailbox on Monday last week, April 1. What is going to happen my package? [more inside]

What happens to mail with insufficient postage and no return address?

I heard through the grapevine that an old school friend has fallen on hard times (long term unemployed and the sole care provider for a seriously ill mother, car died, on the verge of losing their home, etc), so I dropped a check in the mail for her last week. I don't really know them anymore, but I can afford it and good karma and all that. But today I realized that, like an idiot, I used a 44 cent stamp and the current first-class rate is up to 47 cents. Can I share the (marshmallow) love?

I have perfected homemade marshmallows and they are delicious! They are so delicious that I want to send some from San Francisco to a friend in England. The only trouble is that the marshmallows have a coating of white powder (confectioners' sugar and a little cornflour) to ensure they don't stick together and create one big mess. Am I asking for trouble by sending this stuff via USPS internationally? [more inside]

Have I been given the wong (tracking) number here ?

I've ordered a dress on behalf of the wife and it is being made and shipped from the Ukraine. They have given us a tracking number, but I suspect it is an incorrect one: The number supplied starts with RA, then has 9 digits and ends with UA. I've looked at the USPS Track & Confirm page and there is no RA suffix, only RE - and they always end in US, not UA So have I been given bogus info ?

Cheapest way to mail and track documents going from US to Russia?

I need to mail some important documents from the US to Russia via a method that is trackable. The cheapest price I can find is $28.95 via USPS. Does anyone know of a less expensive method that includes tracking information? These are just paper documents, not a package. Thanks!
