I am a soon-to-be-divorced UK citizen (soon-to-be ex-wife is American) with a permanent resident card (expires 2019). Married in May 2007, came here September 2010, divorcing either this month or next. I'm moving to San Francisco end of May 2012. What, if anything, do I have to tell INS regarding my marital status? I was
cautioned (not convicted) for possession of cannabis in 2003 in the UK. I understand that the USA is not very friendly towards people with drugs "offences" on their record and I'm wondering if I will have trouble travelling to Hawaii (via a four-day stopover in San Francisco) in the middle of next year.

A friend from the Eastern European country I grew up in asked if I would sign and submit an invitation so she can get a tourist visa to the U.S., where I reside. She intends to look for illegal work when she gets here. My immediate reaction was "No way!" with a few expletives thrown in, but I don't want to hurt her feelings when I crush her hopes. My German-citizen best friend and I have been talking about him emigrating to the US for a few years now, and now that he's about to graduate from college, we're getting serious about it. So far, it looks like the best route is a graduate degree program, but money is a problem with that (namely, he doesn't have any). My fiancée and I are travelling to her country this Christmas to visit some friends and her family. I am a US citizen and she is Moldovan. She is a grad student at my university here in the US. As she is from a non-EU Eastern European country, there is a chance that she may not be allowed entry into the country due to some technicalities, even though she will have received another valid F1 visa. If she is denied entry in the airport, what can I do? Am I allowed to see her, arrange for her flight home or contact a lawyer before they force her out?
