What's going on with the guys at the urinal who can barely pee? I've stood next to them, on-and-off, my entire public-washroom-using life: normal-looking dudes who sidle up to the urinal next to me, unzip, and then start gasping and moaning like they're giving birth while squeezing out what sounds like thimblefuls of urine. Today I was doing my business when the guy at the next head starting orgasmically wheezing "Ohhhhh yeah, unnnnhhh . . . " while passing a few dozen pee-molecules at a time and my curiosity finally got the better of me.

What the hell's going on? Do all these guys have prostate problems? They don't appear to cluster by age. Am I the only one noticing that something like one in every ten male urinators seems to have this problem?

Why do so many guys flush the urinal before they use it? Honestly, I've wondered this forever. Is it a "visually stimulating" thing? Or do you just want to close your eyes and picture yourself in front of a waterfall? Or do you need to hear/see water flowing to actually go yourself? Seriously... Something like half the people around me at the urinal walls do this. Why?

Has anyone ever heard of a urinal in a residential home? For a guy, these things are really convenient in business offices... so why is there a stigma about them being in a home? They conserve water, and there's no lid to fuss with. And women would certainly approve of having a much tidier, less-used toilet.

Spitting in the urinal, what's that about? Why do so many guys feel the need to spit first, before urinating? It's not like I work in a slaughterhouse or a bar, either -- I work next to programmers and share an office floor/bathroom with mortgage brokers. At least once a day I see or hear somebody working up the old hack-twoey in front of the urinal. Some just lean forward and "politely" drop a mouthful of spit before they do their business. What the hell is the point?

MensRoomFilter: Guys, your standing at the urinal. on the wall in front of you is a box with a hose that runs down to the urinal. What is is it and how does it work? is it some sort of deodorizer? i am assuming it is but how? i never see anything come out of that hose
