What's the best way to upgrade my hard drive on my desktop? I have a 40GB SSD that I boot from, and I want to upgrade that to an 80GB SSD. What's the best way to move all of my information from the old drive to the new one, and then have the computer boot from the new drive?

It's that time of year again - the great new pc games have started rolling out and last year's hotness will not cut it. I currently have a Radeon 5850 - Would you upgrade by getting a second card and running them in Crossfire, or would a slick, new, confusingly-named, single card be a better investment?

How upgradable is this iBook? A friend has an old iBook G4 he's indicated he'd be willing to let me have pretty cheaply. I use an iMac at home, but could use a nice portable laptop for occasional travel. The iBook as it is seems a little slow and sluggish to me - I'm just wondering, how "upgradable" is this model, for how much money, etc.? (details inside.)

I'm ready to buy a new desktop PC with Windows 7, and I can't decide whether to spend more money on a faster CPU or more memory, if either. Which would be better in the long run: i7-860 (or even i7-920) with 6 GB RAM, or i5 with 8 GB of RAM? Considering the CPU alone, is an i7 instead of an i5 worth the extra money?

I'm concerned about making my computers sluggish by "upgrading" them. Should I install Leopard on older G4 Macs?

Can I download something that allows me to raise the upper limit for CPU speed in my motherboard? Not talking overclocking, just something that allows me to put a 3.4GHz chip in a mobo originally spec'd to only go up to 3.2GHz (might have been 3.0).

I'd like to upgrade my 4 year old Dell Dimension 8200 computer, while hopefully getting components that I could use later, should I decide to build a whole new system in a few months. Sadly, I know nearly nothing about computer hardware.

Can you upgrade your laptop's video card at all? I was curious as I have a 32mb NVidea card on it however I'd love to upgrade it. Is this possible or is there a way to enhance it's performance? (I'm 99.9% the answer is "NO" but I thought I'd ask)

Worth the upgrade? Or do I need to dig deeper into my wallet? I'd like better AVI playback and iMovie performance, as well as the ability to run GarageBand.
