What is the proper air conditioning refrigerant pressure for a 2004 Scion xB? Should the pressure reading be made at a specific RPM?
My A/C has been slowly loosing cooling over the last couple of years, now it really only cools well when traveling above 35~ mph, not so well at all in stop-and-go situations. Does it sound like I am on the right track to recharge the system? Works pretty well at steady-state speeds...

There's an artwork on public display in my community that isn't labeled with the artist's name or the title of the piece, and I'd like to know more about it. The facility that has it on display doesn't have the information, so I'm hoping you could take a look at it (or just read my description) and tell me if you know more about it, or where I could find out who created it and what it is called. It's a rather unique piece, being a full-length overcoat that's been hardened/cast and mounted on a large canvas. The yellow floral pattern of the coat is seamlessly transferred to the background of the canvas. For a link to a phone-cam pic I took of it, click [more inside]

Looking for a book I read as a kid, so I only have a few clues which is probably why I haven't been able to turn this one up. Science fiction, read probably in the mid-to-late eighties out of a school library. It might have been an older book - it had the flavor of older science fiction but I could be wrong on that part. My phone connects to my home wifi network but won't load webpages/get internet. How can I fix this? Also, can anyone confirm that this won't be a hardware issue? There's a short window in which I could possibly exchange the phone, but I'd rather not if it's not a flaw in the phone. [more inside]

ShortStoryFilter: I'm looking for the name of a short story that (probably) appeared in a pulp horror collection from a good number of years back... Hello! I'm looking for a simple solution to turn my 64GB USB Thumb Drive into a portable MP3 player. Nothing fancy, simple display, controls, and small screen. I have Microsoft Sync in my new car, and a laptop that I travel with. Seems like it would be easy to keep all my mp3s on one thumb drive and take it with me rather than having multiple copies floating about on all devices. There used to be an old Lexar & I believe a Sandisk product that allowed for this. Anyone aware of anything more recent or that supports all 64GB? Thank you in advance.
PS. My USB drive is not one of those fancy encrypted ones, so it works in every device I've tried it in.

I have the original QuickVoice
recorder app on my iPhone, installed before the iPhone had its own-brand voice recorder. Inside QuickVoice I have about 30 long recordings that are too big to be emailed by the app. But the QuickVoice Sync app mentioned on this page
isn't working for me. Can anyone suggest other ways that I can get inside the iPhone to access the data held by this app and transfer it to my desktop computer? I don't want to jailbreak the phone. My platform is Windows XP.

For some reason my iPhone's on-board calendar comprises no fewer than eight calendars. My appointments are strewn across the calendars quite randomly. When I add a new appointment, sometimes yet another calendar is created. The only way for me to view my appointments in a comprehensible fashion is to view "All". How do I bring an end to this preposterous state of affairs? Is there a way to merge all my calendars into one? I am a Mobile Me subscriber.

Trying to remember a carbonated ginseng beverage sold between 1988 and 1994 at Whole Foods in Austin (and eventually sold at the incredibly fancy flagship HEB). I seem to recall that it came in a purple can and tasted vaguely like dirt. I haven't seen it since and it's driving me crazy that I can't remember what it was called. And no, it was not Ginseng Up.
