I'm looking for examples of great presentations, including visuals (PowerPoint or otherwise). I've been browsing TED.com and keep finding inspiring speeches but not necessarily examples of great supplemental visuals. I'm sure there are examples there and elsewhere. YouTube links or otherwise would be great.

Can anyone advise me on some specific comparisons between the US and Canadian University systems? I am in charge of internationalisation at a British University and we would like to investigate establishing academic partnerships and indeed possibly some direct recruitment in both countries. While we are roughly clear on how the US system operates, Canada is a bit harder to grasp.

I'm a young second year university student needing advice on making the right choice in academia and my future options. I study Politics and Philosophy at a decent British university and have to make a choice on whether to carry on with my joint honours course or switch to single honours to focus on what I really love, and want to pursue, academic philosophy. Should I be worried about the following?...

I have a bachelors degree in philosophy. I wasn't a great student. My career path seems to be boring and unpredictable. I want a job where I can use my brain and be a part of pushing the world into a techno-utopia. Do I need a new bachelors degree? How will the admissions process go for me? How can I prove to myself that I can do my degree well?

I've just applied for my first university tutoring position (English Literature) and just want to know a bit about what I can expect. Example: how much of the preparation/material is guided by the lecturer of the course you end up tutoring for?
Tutoring, like lecturing, seems to be one of those things that have no set route for getting into. While I'm sure the pay rate for tutoring on campus varies from one university (and probably, from one course) to another, is there an applicable standard rate to keep in mind? Any tips and advice will be greatly appreciated.
