I'm working on researching undergraduate University policies on sexual abuse and hitting a wall. Ideally I'm looking for the highlights and lowlights of
Canadian university policies and how they respond to sexual abuse committed by students and/or to students. Is there a school out there that is really getting this right? Does anyone know where things are desperately wrong? I need some reliable sources to draw from, because what I've been finding has mostly been hearsay or dodgy.

Hello Hive Mind,
I'm looking for the title/author of a non-fiction book I read in the last few years. Here's what I remember:
Retired professor returns to college as a freshman... Goes to a school that teaches a "Great Books" curriculum, where practically every class is a seminar/discussion group. The school encourages every student to participate in intramural athletics, so the old "freshman" joins the rowing team. The book is the story of his year at the school. Thanks for your help!

I have a teaching demonstration at University level tomorrow. This is my first. I have some questions on what to expect from the audience/evalution panel. I heard from another candidate (there are three positions open being managed simultaneously) about her experience on Monday and it sounded like a deliberately hostile audience and interview session. Is this normal or to be expected?

I've just applied for my first university tutoring position (English Literature) and just want to know a bit about what I can expect. Example: how much of the preparation/material is guided by the lecturer of the course you end up tutoring for?
Tutoring, like lecturing, seems to be one of those things that have no set route for getting into. While I'm sure the pay rate for tutoring on campus varies from one university (and probably, from one course) to another, is there an applicable standard rate to keep in mind? Any tips and advice will be greatly appreciated.

this thread doesn't really answer my question as we're handing in tomorrow. Also- he's old buddies with the other group member who I don't know very well.
