Aspergers Career Paths?

I'm somebody who's classic Aspergers (very focused interests, excellent with little pieces of data, sociable but utterly clueless), who's increasingly aware a lot of jobs revolve around the political side of things, and who's currently tossing up on university courses for future career potential (environmental/geosciences being a current lock). I might finally come to be worth something to society! Maybe...?

Hi Mefites. I'll be starting an online medical coding and billing course in January ( given by the AAPC), after graduating from a relatively well respected state school with a psychology BA in May and finding out far too late in the game that it would leave me with nil in terms of job prospects. After building up quite a bit of credit card debt and deciding that man cannot live on Hulu and Facebook alone, as I've been doing for six months, I decided to look into opportunities that required relatively little training to get started with, and happened upon medical billing, something that seems to fit me quite well. I'm tempering my enthusiasm however, because no amount of Googling seems to give me a clear sense of my path once the course is over. Help? [more inside]

I want a new job. I'm not well qualified. What can I do?

I've been working a data-entry job for almost two years now. I got it as a temp position shortly after finishing college. It became full-time a year later. I graduated from a good school, but late, and with mediocre grades in journalism, my major. I stuck to the temp job because I bombed out of freelance work. This failure aggravated my self-loathing and convinced me to abandon journalism, for which I have shown little talent. I abandoned it for a dead-end job. I would like a job with better chances for promotion and with better pay. How, if at all, do I find such a job, considering my mental health, which sabotages each stage of the hunt, and my poor qualifications, which don't help? [more inside]

Studying Abroad vs. Working

Asking for my friend. My friend is finishing her associate's degree in a creative field in May, but is not sure of whether she should look for a job right away, or accept her admittance to a prestigious and high-profile exchange program at a foreign university. Oh, and she knows about the flipping-a-coin trick so that won't work. [more inside]

I want to kick some cognitive memory ass!

I just got hired at a psychology research lab at a very prestigious university. I have no background in academic research and very little academic background in this field. I have an associates degree in humanities, and psychology is a field that interests me greatly. What can I do to not mess this up? [more inside]

About to start a new life in Glasgow; need to be bombarded with advice

What should a young couple moving to a new city know? Know of any decent job/temp agencies worth checking out in Glasgow? What about gigs/concerts/pubs/clubs? I'd even appreciate some words of advice regarding living with a loved one for the first time. Anything at all will be received with much thanks! [more inside]
