Europeans using PayPal to bill customers in the U.S. or U.K., can you help me? I want to bill for services using PayPal, and then transfer the money to my Greek bank account. Greece uses the Euro. I'd like to bill in dollars for my U.S. clients, but I'm a PayPal newbie as far as receiving funds is concerned. Is there something that I should know about fees or ... um ... anything, really. I don't even know what I don't know! Any tips/advice will be helpful; don't assume it's too minor. :)

What are some must-see scenic drives and attractions to be found on a one-way roadtrip West from Cincinnati, OH to Seattle, WA. Mid-40s opposite-sex couple who love photography, don't like hiking very much but appreciate a good hot spring, and are what you would call "foodies". We're thinking about the Badlands and Black Hills, but what else? Also, what stretches of road can we avoid to stave off boredom, and where should we drive instead of them? We can go a bit out of our way, but would like to be back at our jobs within a week.

Socialism. I keep hearing this word in regards to our current health care reform. I'm fairly sure most of the people I know don't really know what it actually means (my mother, for example) - I'm not even sure I know anymore. Are there already socialized programs in the US and, if so, please give me examples I can share?

In twenty-five years i'll be retiring with my minimal social security benefits and medicare to keep me briefly going. I've got no savings right now, but I'm almost done paying my debts. I rent. I want somewhere tiny, a bungalow with a kitchen, perhaps a tiny garden, stonking bandwidth, maybe near a lake, maybe near a wood, but really not so much. I just want to whittle sticks, greet neighbours, not climb stairs, and hack on code. I don't mind renting again until i die. Where should I move in the US, and when? [more inside]

U.S. tourist ticketed for driving w/o license+insurance. What next, to avoid visa denials in the future?
A friend is in the US on a tourist visa (from a non-visa waiver country). He just got ticketed for driving without a license, without insurance, and with highbeams on. He'll be entering a US university as an undergrad this autumn, for which he'll convert his visa to a student visa.
