It drives me effin' crazy when people say "um" while speaking. Yet, curiously enough, other forms of verbal static (e.g. "uhh," "like," etc.) don't bother me in the slightest. What's the deal with that? And is it possible to get past my severe distaste of other peoples' verbal static?

Are there any well-known songs that were (or might have been) recorded while the artist was stoned/wasted/tripping/etc? Not counting concert performances, unless the song charted. [more inside]
