I'm looking for songs in two (or three) arrangements for ukulele that can be played simultaneously. Say, a simplified version using only three or four easy chords for beginners; and a more advanced version, adding more advanced chord changes, for more experienced players. If there's a site or songbook devoted to such things, that would be ideal; otherwise, links to individual songs would also be appreciated. [more inside]
I would like to organize a flash mob for Inauguration Day. Special snowflake details below the fold. [more inside]
I have to learn "U Turn" by Tegan and Sara for a video shoot on Monday. I'm playing it in G from these chords, and I've tried everything that I thought would work for transcribing the riff, including isolating the tonic and playing up or down to it and putting the guitar riff through the converter on Ukulele Tabs and trying to play that (which wouldn't have worked because I'm playing it in a different key). This seems like it should be really simple and straightforward, but it is not. Can anyone help me?
Ukulele-playing mefites, please give me your best recommendations on an electric solid-body ukulele. [more inside]
I recently took my ukulele to a convention and had it signed by two gentlemen close to my heart. I still want to play it (even more so now!), but I worry about the signatures scratching/fading. [more inside]

I am trying to learn "I Apologize" by Husker Du on the ukulele. I'm working with this tab, and the chords sound right. The strums for the verses (down/up, down/up, down/up, down) and for the first half of the chorus (down down/UP ad nauseum) were easy enough to learn, but I can't figure out the strums for the pre-chorus ("and you get tight-lipped…") or the second half of the chorus ("said I'm sorry…") I've watched videos of Bob solo and Husker Du back in the day, but I haven't figured out what Bob's doing with his left hand. Anyone want to hazard a guess? [more inside]
Looking for an easy song to learn on the ukulele. I love old jazz and swing from the 20s-40s so I'm especially looking for suggestions from that genre if possible! [more inside]
I'm learning how to play the ukulele, and I've come across the AaddG chord in a few songs I've wanted to learn. When I've searched the web for what the fingering for this chord should be, though, I never find anything -- just links back to the chords/lyrics pages I've been looking at. How do I play the AaddG? What would the fingering be? (It seems to be used a lot after an Am or an A# chord, FWIW.)

I am itching for a sound bigger than my concert ukulele but have tiny, tiny hands. I don't really foresee performing on the uke (although you just never know)-- mostly I use the uke to write songs for my guitarist-singer friend to sing while I play the violin. So I am thinking...guitalele? What can you tell me about it? OR should I get a 1/2 size guitar? And where in Toronto can I buy the Yamaha one that costs only 100?
Can you identify this ukulele? I've contacted the seller, but no response. I haven't seen this model of electric ukulele before and I'm curious about it. Thank you! [more inside]

I love music and over the past few years have taught myself to be pretty good as a ukulele player. I'd love to get involved with a band--old-time jazz, dixieland stuff--and really learn how to make music with others. But all I know is how to play by myself. I don't know how bands work in the slightest, nor how to find others who are better than me but willing to let me "play along." How do I get started getting started? Thanks!
I have never managed to properly learn how to play an instrument before. I'd like to be able to accompany myself when I sing, so I'm thinking of getting a ukulele or a guitar. Please help me figure out what I ought to be looking for. [more inside]
