I'm in the process of overthinking job-seeking to death. To help me in this, I'm looking for CV advice from anyone involved in recruitment for a British software company, please. (Bonus marks if the company in question is small; but I'm interested in any input I can get.)

Emergency! I'm a Dual UK/USA citizen with valid USA and UK passports. My flight leaves London (where I am now) tomorrow at 2 p.m. I have my UK passport on me, in London, but my USA passport is currently in Manchester. It's 9:44 p.m. in London.
This page says it's against federal law for a US citizen (even a dual citizen) to enter the USA on anything other than a USA passport. So, what are my options? I've JUST applied for an ESTA visa, it's supposed to be instant...

In a few days I will be staying with friend's family in western France, at a house they own. I will be in the UK the next few days.
Normally I would bring wine or chocolates as a thank you for the accommodation, but France does these much better and cheaper than the UK (I am told). I am Canadian. What could I bring that would still be a great gift, that I could find in London? It should be something like food or drink, and something of benefit to people on vacation. Price about $50. The friends I am visiting are French/Canadian and appreciate quality/luxury

A colleague's (adult) daughter was recently diagnosed with Global Ischemia and they are looking for support resources - books, support groups online or in person, basically anything that can help them cope with this
would be helpful. My colleague is not very tech savvy so I am hoping to compile a list of resources to make it easy for them to browse. Any other helpful tips or advice appreciated!

So I graduated last year and have been working in sales since then. I'm very intrigued by the concept of teaching english abroad, as I've had some great experiences teaching children before, but am overwhelmed by the amount of different schemes and companies. I have never really
travelled before, and I know this may be seen as a big step, but I have this uncontrollable itch to just go for it while I am young and relatively free.
I'm really looking for any and all advice from you guys - anyone who's done it, anyone who's considered it, anyone at all!
Ideally, I am looking for a half-year placement, with a UK-based TEFL company (although it seems that many companies don't care where you are from). Having said that, I could be swayed by a year-long course. I am very excited by i-to-i, and heard about this through a recommendation.
However, as I say, I feel a little like I am stabbing in the dark. I have read with much interest some previous questions, and have heard mention of Dave's ESL cafe, but this seems to be mostly aimed towards the USA.
