In my Internet peregrinations I came across this:
'In 2010 there were 32,788 road deaths in the USA (Source: DfT). This equates to 10.6 road deaths per 100,000 of population and compares to the UK average of 3.1 road deaths per 100,000 of population in 2010.'. I am trying to equate these statistics with relevant land areas vs population.

UK (and especially London) folks, where should a returning US labor union staffer work in the UK? I’ll be returning to London (location non-negotiable) early next year after almost ten years in the US. I left the UK soon after I graduated (I’ve never held a career job there), and I’ve worked as a labor union staffer in the US, working my way up to positions with a good deal of strategic and management responsibility, but I'm absolutely open to a change...

Long ago I found a British online shop selling cool "science toys". It had things
like aerogel, although I'm not sure if it actually sold aerogel. One thing I specifically remember is a "trick pen" where it looked like there was no way for the button on the top to do anything, and the centre section was 4 thin metal rods. The rods were actually hollow and contained a wire that transmitted the force. Help me find it again!
