Yesterday, my firefox install on ubuntu started misbehaving. The bookmarks toolbar only shows up if I remove it and and add it again. There are no URLs in Address bar and no URL display down where the status bar used to be. Several plugins have stopped working without being disabled. Sometimes tabs can't be closed. No session management and on and on. The problem seems to be some interaction of a ubuntu update and firefox not cooperating. After googling I have nothing and am at a complete loss for how to fix it. Where do people turn for support for ubuntu firefox problems that don't require them to be on either development team?

How do I fix this Firefox problem? I go to a website. I scroll down, click a link, decide to go back to the original page. I click the back button, and when the previous page loads it loads at the top of the page, not where I had been in the page when I'd scrolled down and clicked the link.

Why can't I see any flickr photos? Whether they're embedded on a website or on the Flickr site itself, for some reason I can never see flickr images. Nothing shows up - not even an empty placeholder. WHat can I be doing wrong?

I use Firefox on a laptop running Ubuntu, and I typically start Firefox several times a day. I'd like it to stop asking me if I want to restore my previous session, which it is presuming crashed, when in fact I had only shut down my machine in the normal way.
