I only use facebook and twitter via a web browser. Recently I've noticed that certain posts have a larger font than others. Whats going on????!!! Here's another example from Twitter. [more inside]
I took a video at an anti-Trump protest. Just chanting and marching, nothing too dramatic. NBC assignment editor contacted me on Twitter and wants to use on "all platforms/partners (with credit)". Any downside? It feels weird to give this away for free, but OTOH I'm sure she's not going to pay me for it. I don't care if my Twitter handle is associated with it.
I am on facebook, pinterest and twitter, and I was wondering if random people can just look up my stuff that I have written or even my pictures. I'm not talking about people who are logged in and are following me or my friends. I just mean random strangers. Thanks.
Twitter and Tumblr feature trending or hot tags/news. But is there a way to find the most read/shared news story associated with a certain tag/news topic? [more inside]
I am about to launch a project that I think will get a lot of attention. I have personal/business social media accounts already, but do I need a second set of social media accounts just for this project to keep my personal/business ones from getting cluttered?
So, I've recently inherited the community and social media role for the company I work for. I'm hoping to use our social media presence to drive up engagement and get users to use our product (a niche-focused social network in the finance realm), but I want to do it without being a douchebag. Have you seen any sites -- mainstream media or other -- that use Twitter in an innovative way relating to breaking news? I'm especially interested in ways that readers participate, but would also look at ways the sites get the news out to their users. Examples might be the site asks readers to tweet reactions to an earthquake from the scene, or to tweet their picks for an upcoming football game, and the site then uses this information in some way. (Facebook and other social media innovations are also of interest, but mostly looking for Twitter info.) Thanks!

Social Media Retail filter: I'm trying to find examples of "best in show" social retail sites. Think "Facebook" meets "hot or not" but for rating apparel and house/home goods (for example). Bonus points if they offer the ability to follow particular users that have a good eye for style/trends that you find appealing, similar functionality to how you follow a user's feed on Twitter.
