HeeBees 70s Show?

Okay, yet another guy looking for the name of a TV show from the 70s. It was kinda like the Muppets, had a laugh track and musical sequences, set in a woodsy town. There was an owl who brewed up potions, a teenage band of bees who fly in the title sequence, an antagonistic, aristocratic lady with a pointy nose, lots of psychedelic sequences, etc. [more inside]

Are RCA cables and Component cables the same?

Can one use RCA cables (red/white/yellow) in component jacks (red/blue/green)? I understand that the jacks carry much different data/signal/whatever, but I was told that there is no need to buy (very) pricey component cables...you can actually just hook up good quality red/white/yellow RCA cables to the component jacks for the same purpose. Help with HDTV and dvd aspect ratios

HDTV Filter: I just bought a new HD TV. It is an Emprex LCD TV HD-3201AE (http://www.emprex.com/02_products_02.php?id=130) The problem I am having is that no matter what DVD I play, the picture always has black bars on top and bottom. I can't get the picture to take up the full screen. I have tried dvd's with display ratios of 2.35:1, 1.85:1, 1.66:1, and 2.40:1. The resolution of the display is 1366x768. I suspect that that may be the culprit. I have tried all the output settings on the TV including 16x9, native, and full. Please help.

Was she right? Are kung-fu films less popular these days?

I just went to a screening of The Five Venoms at my art museum's in house movie theatre, and the lady that runs the place said in a sort of an off hand way (in the middle of a reminiscence about the old days when they had first started showing kung fu films as part of their schedule) something along the lines of 'of course now with the satellite TV and DVDs not nearly so many people are interested in these pictures'. That sounded strange to me, because would have assumed that those two factors would have increased interest in that kind of movie. Does anyone have any insight or information about changes in peoples interest in kung fu films? Does that

80s Super Hero Program?

Does anyone remember an older (80s) live action TV about a group of people with super powers? I have a terribly, terribly, terribly vague recollection of it. It may, honestly, have only been a TV special but I recall a short series that I may have made up on my own.
