I've always thought King Missile's
Failure was a pretty good depiction of the kind of intrusive, self-defeating thoughts that characterize depression. The recent FPP'd game
Depression Quest does something similar. What are some other works that are reminiscent of the
experience of having depression or another mental illness (as opposed to depicting characters with the illness?)

My father and I watched a documentary on TV in the 90s (likely TVO in Canada, possibly a National Geographic production?). It was about a boy named Ali who lived in the jungle with his father. It showed their daily life, how they hunted for food, etc. One scene I clearly remember is the father teaching the son how to create poison darts using toads.
I believe the title was "Ali's Jungle", but I can't find any references to it on the internet. My dad and I really enjoyed the theme song, which was hummed by the father as he played a thumb piano. Here is a recording my father made at the time:
Theme Song
Any help identifying this show would be appreciated!

I have fond childhood memories of the theme song from a 1980s nature show, but have been unable to find it anywhere on the internet. The main melody was played by a sort of synthesized oboe, with an odd synthesized rhythm of pops and clicks in the background, and the accompanying visuals were trippy, red-and-orange footage of various animals. I've recreated (badly) the main melody from the title sequence
here. Can anyone tell me what show this is from, and point me to a recording of the original tune? Thanks!

TV commercial music filter: US television ad from a few years back (3-5 maybe) for a line of kitchen appliances (can't recall the brand - great ad, I suppose - so not sure about googling) that featured a montage of images showing food producers (farmers, fishermen, etc.) going about their work then smiling at the camera and holding the results (fresh vegetables, eggs, fish, etc.). But what was the piece of orchestra music in the sound track?

Weird movie memory filter: I feel like it was a Disney Channel movie. The premise was a 14ish year old girl wanting to be in a boy's band, so she ended up dressing like a boy and they let her in the band. She was also in an all girl band and it happened that they had to perform on the same day. Chaos ensues, and she is found out in the end... Any help is great.

I'm trying to find a DVD/watchable online version of a documentary I saw probably saw about five years or so ago about the history of the voice in popular music. I think it might have been simply called
The Voice, and was probably shown on the BBC or Channel 4 (although I think it was American-made). One episode featured harmony groups like the Four Freshmen and the Beach Boys. With such a generic name, Google is failing to help me find any details on this one. Does anybody know what it was actually called, and where I can see this again?

Here is an example... My Boss: "We want to use the Can Can song. Our music guy has done a recording for us. Is it in the Public Domain?" Me: "Yes. The composer, J. Offenbach, has been deceased since 1880 and if we are doing our own arrangement we are fine." My Bosses Boss: "About 5 years ago, I tried to clear this song for use in a TV production and discovered that it was NOT in the Public Domain. Elle Vator, can you research this and let us know the answer two months ago?"

I just received a check from Pump Audio. I submitted my music to them a while back and, apparently, one of my tracks was used in a TV show. Woo-hoo! However, I can't find any information on the show it was used in.
The information on the statement is as follows:
Usage Description: Yearbook Episode 1998
Air Date: 6/11/2006
Ntwk/Pro: ABC
I've Googled, to no avail. I can't even find any reference to a show of that name.
Anyone have information or a suggestion of how where to look?
Or, super-extra bonus points if you know how I can get a copy of it!
