We're going nuts at my house! What is this song? We think it's from a TV show. This recording is my daughter playing it from some sheet music - but the title is ripped off the top. I feel like it's a TV theme song or something? I know that it's very very familiar. I hope someone can help. Thanks. Here's a link to a google drive file.
I love the When Cheese Fails series! And I was wondering what that sound/tune in this video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybP5J4MSgxI at 4:16 - 4:33 I like listening to music, so maybe a music type or perhaps a link to a specific tune. Listening to it makes either want to A) Transcend this world or B) Kill myself Thanks.
Baa Baa Blacksheep, Twinkle Twinkle, and the alphabet song are all the same tune. How is it that one song has been used for three well known songs? What are some other examples of songs being the exact same tune but with totally different lyrics? (I'll accept rip off/coincidence type things like Born This Way/Express Yourself, but I'm looking more for examples where the identical-song-different-lyrics thing was deliberate and done knowingly.)
A friend of mine's been watching the anime "A Certain Scientific Railgun S", and he's been having trouble identifying one of the incidental music pieces. It's in episode 11, from 17:52 to 20:00--what song is this (mp3), used here, and which of the OSTs is it on, if any? He says he's searched them all, including a second Railgun S OST which apparently came out yesterday, but he can't seem to find it, though he admits that he might have missed it along the line. Any help you can offer he'd appreciate. Thanks!
Can anybody identify this Chinese language song? At least, we think it's Chinese. A friend of mine found it somewhere totally devoid of context, and now we're wondering what it is and where it's from. Any help you can give us would be just fine.
What is this song? My brain "recognises" it but I can't place where I've heard it before and it's driving me mad.

Name that tune filter. Sort of. I'm sure this tune (from the start to about 15 seconds in) sounds just like a jingle from what I think may be an old SNES game. Something involving Mario, possibly karts but maybe not. [more inside]

Any tips for getting a tune out of your head? There's this damn ice cream truck which makes several passes a day with like a 5 second loop of a tune, and it's been struck in my head for about a week. Can't concentrate on my work. I can only imagine how insane the poor driver is by now.

SONGFILTER It's a good one. I consider myself a music aficionado, but I still am stumped on this one. My buddy thinks it's from a movie soundtrack, I' not too sure it is - but we both definitely recognize the hook. We transcribed it into notes for you all - more after the jump... [more inside]
Music in the background of the first 30 seconds or so of this video? It's driving me mad and I've asked everyone I know (including the video creator, to no avail.) [more inside]
A song that surely must exist. All we (dad and I) can recall is the line "but we were soldiers". This is not, and has nothing to do with the book/movie 'We were Soldiers". I am unsure of the title, but I believe the chorus begins with "but we were soldiers", as in the idea "but whatever, we, being soldiers, did what we had to do". Maybe a country tune, but I'm just not sure. Could be from a musical or whatever. Any ideas?

Whats that song? In an advertisement featuring the Concorde, showing it taking off (in slow motion with heat fumes rising in the foreground), the ad played in the early 1990s, and the song went "(something) (something) with Jesus... the great (something) in the sky" and there was cowbell. (It sounds like ELO to me but I cant find or name the song). [more inside]

Name that tune please :: PBS is great, and the songs in their promos are actually just as good. Currently running is a promo that ends with the words; "Be More ~ ThirteenHD" (this is PBS Thirteen's High-Def channel which they broadcast in NYC & possibly elsewhere?). The music which accompanies it is a piece that I'd classify as sort of a Blues/Rock/Jazz instrumental. My Question: Name that tune!?! [more inside]

Can anyone figure out the name/artist for this song. It's based heavily on the following piano riff. It's very recent and sounds like it's roughly in the genre of Train or Coldplay. [more inside]

Acoustic guitar question: I wonder if anyone is familiar with this problem. I have an old steel-string guitar, where the B-string breaks every time I tune it to the right pitch. Every other string is fine. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Is it fixable?
