I am having trouble manually installing Disqus on my Tumblr. The theme is Lines
. When I follow the suggestions on Disqus' site
, it causes the "# comments" part to all show up on the most recent post, rather than one link next to each post. So right now there are three "0 comments" links next to my most recent post. I'm not very familiar with HTML, and each place I've tried to put the code hasn't fixed the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have a self-hosted WordPress blog in which every post is an image (with alt-text) and a single comment. I'd like to move this material over to a Tumblr blog. The site has two years' worth of material, with about three posts per week.
I've done a Google search and it seems there are three methods for migrating WordPress content to Tumblr. All involve exporting the WordPress Blog to XML first, which I've done. [more inside]

I am too disorganized to blog consistently, but I'm also way too verbose for Twitter. Is there a blogging platform that exists somewhere between these two extremes? Is there a platform that's kind of like Facebook as a blog? Do I want a Tumblr? [more inside]

Is there a better way to create Tumblr themes than using the "Customize Theme" window? Specifically, what I'd like to do is use a desktop text editor and be able to preview changes to the theme layout offline
instead of in the browser window. Is there some application or plugin (for Dreamweaver or similar) that will make this possible? Mac/PC agnostic. [more inside]

I'm new to Tumblr. Which are the best Tumblrblogs to follow, particularly in the realms of literature/arts/film/tv/comics/culture, science fiction, stand-up comedy and comedy podcasting, lefty politics, and MetaFilter-style "potpourri"? Thanks in advance.

I'm with a buddy working on his Tumblr page. We've noticed more and more visits from iOS devices and this shuts them out of his audio posts because Tumblr uses Flash. Is there any way around this with html5 plugins that support Tumblr and actually do? I am googled out with this. So much conflicting information. With so many visits from iPads (especially), it seems there has
to be a way. Any help would be appreciated.
As always, thanks in advance!

I have a follower on Tumblr I would much rather not have. Can I make them unfollow me somehow on my end? From what I can see "blocking" them does pretty much nothing. I just dont want to show up on their dash anymore. Any way or clever workarounds so that I can make that happen?

I have a Tumblr blog. I have a Disqus account. The two are working together perfectly. Except one thing: the main tumblr blog page just shows the number of comments; to actually SEE the comments, you have to click-through on the "comments" link. I'd like to show all comments on the main Tumblr page of my blog. Can this be done? [more inside]

I'm writing a paper on (animated) GIFs and am trying to track down some of the most (in)famous. I suppose I am talking memes, but I'm more interested in the GIF as an archaeological reference point. I frequent sites like dump.fm
etc. so am quite tuned in to the glitchy/kitschy side of GIF culture. How theoretical have people got on these wonders of the web? How does one trace the history of an animated GIF? [more inside]

Blog Help Filter: I am looking for a way by which I can have an RSS feed (consolidated from various sources and filtered - using Yahoo pipes) end up into a blog as draft posts. I would then edit, delete, modify these entires and post them in real time or at a predefined time.
I am open to most blogging platforms such as:
Does something like this exist for those of us who cannot program?
And, is there a way to do this with twitter? I know I can post on twitter when I update a blog but is the reverse possible? I know it is a weird request.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Which tumblr themes automatically attach "Share This on Facebook" and "Share This on Twitter" buttons to every individual post? I'm interested in both free and premium themes. Bonus points if you can point me to a real-life Tumblr blog that uses the particular theme.
