Tumbler Compilation Posts for Wordpress?

Is there a way to automatically generate a daily compilation of tumblr posts into a single Wordpress blog post? If it's relevant, I have a self-hosted Wordpress blog and I don't do the widgets thing. There is a plugin to do this sort of thing with Twitter, but I can't find anything similar for Tumblr.

how to tumble?

How do I interact with others on tumblr? I recently started a blog on tumblr. Since there are no "blogrings" or anything (a la xanga or those other blog sites), and no "Comments" section, how does one interact with others? How do I find new blogs to read? How do I give those people feedback? Any other useful tips?

What's funny about this photo?

What's funny about this photo of two "motivational" posters? I'm a big fan of Tofutti Break, but I can't for the life of me figure out what's funny about this. I'd rather not start the new year out by not getting a joke, so can anyone fill me in?

How do I filter my entire digital life into one personal domain?

I'm merging my digital life into one conglomerate website. I have a wordpress blog, tumblr, twitter page, blogspot blog, and a page for my music project being joined on my new domain. Can I do this without making my site busy or ugly? I've spent countless hours working on this and find myself reaching for a 'reset design' button.

Right now I have a minimalist landing page with links to everything

i.e. 'blog' 'twitter' 'tumblr' 'music' 'non-profit'

'blog' goes to www.domain.com/blog and uses the same CSS as www.domain.com/

I didn't like the look of the java/flash widgets embedded in my site,
so right now the twitter and tumblr feeds appear in plain text in their respective locations inside the jurisdiction of my stylescripts.

I have considered linking directly to current locations i.e. 'twitter' would go to www.twitter.com/userID, but I feel like that is ungratitude for the power that having my own domain brings.

Also with that, things are brought out of 'Zen' slightly as some parts of the site are hosted on the domain (blogs, music) and others are hosted elsewhere. Of course the layout changes on every not-my-domain page.

I have considered using some type of frame that opens the new site within my site, but I'm clueless to the logistics, and am not sure that that would improve my current situation at all.

Is there hope for my site?

Many thanks in advance!

I didn't realize that this was such an emotional website problem. Maybe this should go into human relations :P

Tumblr google issues

Why does my tumblr blog not show up in google search? I started a tumblr blog maybe about a month ago with some friends and have recently come to realize that it is not showing up in the google search at all, by which I mean I get absolutely no results searching for specific phrases or the title of the blog or anything similar. Nothing.

Does anyone know why this might be? What I can do about it? It appears that other tumblr blogs show up on google, but I do remember reading somewhere that tumblr as a site has bad seo or some such thing.

Forget Web 3.0...I'm jumping straight to Web 5.0.

I'm looking for a way to have my Movable Type blog updated when I update my status on Twitter or post a link/image/other to my Tumblr page. I can't figure out what to do, though. Currently, I'm working on relaunching my blog using Movable Type 4 as my CMS. In addition to my blog, I also regularly update my Twitter account, as well as posting links on a Tumblr page. I was thinking it would be neat to have Twitter updates or Tumblr posts appear alongside the MT posts. If I can manage to do this, I'd use each of the three tools as follows:

* MT blog posts: longer, more fleshed-out posts (similar to the "fireballs" on Daring Fireballs) about any number of subjects.
* Tumblr posts: used for posting links to interesting things I find or perhaps shorter, more off-the-cuff posting, about two or three sentences in length.
* Twitter updates: used when I have a particularly striking thought that I feel the need to share. I like Twitter for doing this because I can update it via SMS if I'm away from the computer.

My desire, as I mentioned, is to have the updates from these three different sources all appear as part of one source of content. I imagine this is the sort of thing that could be done with some combination of RSS feeds and a Movable Type plugin or two, but that's where I'm stuck--I have no idea what would make this possible. I spent about an hour earlier today playing with reBlog, which ultimately proved to be a colossal waste of time. I'm sure this is something that CAN be done; I just have no idea how to do it, and I'm hoping maybe someone here does.

Bonus question: is it possible to give each type of post a different CSS styling...a different font, background color, border, etc.?

How to make Tumblr and WordPress work together nicely?

How can I resize the output of the Tumblr widget to use in my Wordpress sidebar? I keep both a tumblelog and a WordPress blog, and would like to use the javascript code that Tumblr provides to display my tumblelog posts in the sidebar of the blog. Trouble is, when I paste the script into a text sidebar widget, all photos and embedded videos are not resized according to its width, making the thing look stupid and disappear off to the right.

Is there any way that I can adjust this, perhaps using CSS? Or, if not, is there any alternative way I could get my Tumblr posts displayed nicely in my WordPress sidebar? My web coding skills are far too inadequate (i.e. non-existent) to have been able to accomplish this myself.

Blogger -> Tumblr?

I need advice about how not to screw up switching my blog from blogger to tumblr. My blog has been with blogger for four years, hosted at my own domain name by godaddy.com (e.g. not blogspot). I am thinking of switching over to tumblr, and am 99% sure I will screw it up. My questions in approximate order of importance:
1. Do I need to do something fancy with DNS? Would it be easier to use a subdomain?
2. What happens to my feed? Am I going to instantly lose all my subscribers unless they subscribe to a new feed?
3. What should I do about the archives, including the archived comments (Haloscan for the last 2 years or so)? If possible I'd like to maintain deep access to my archives by the Googlebots. Do I have to accept a sort of rift in the archives and the formatting between old blog and new blog?

I need a blog. No, a wiki. Or something.

I need a blog or a wiki or a cms or a combination of same or something that doesn't really exist. Help? I am trying to create a freeform thing (for lack of a better word). It will be a group of annotated links/entries/pages/posts (depending on how you want to think about it). Some of these will be annotated links to an existing page (a la del.icio.us). Some of them will just be notes about a text heading, rather than a link. I want them mixed together, with no structure. I want tagging, and I want the whole mess to be obviously and easily keyword-searchable. I want a group of 5 people to be able to edit/tag it easily.

Basically, I want del.icio.us but with the ability to have text entries. Or I want tumblr but with tags. I suppose I could do Wordpress, but it's such a pain to add all the links, and then it's just too...bloggy. And wikis seem too structured (unless I'm missing something). I have no need for these entries to be linked together.

I am likely being too picky, but if anything like this exists, I would be overjoyed to find it. I've read the ask.me posts about wikis and blogs, and I've not found anything. Any help would be appreciated.

How can I add functionality to a Tumblr tumblelog?

Can I set up archives, tagging and a search function on a tumblelog using Tumblr? I gave in to the curiosity and set up a tumblelog (self link), via Tumblr.

It's a simple, uncomplicated and visual way of sharing stuff, but is there a way of setting up archives or tagging the content to make it easier to find? Or even adding a search function?

I can play about with the CSS easily enough, but my knowledge is limited (doesn't stop me trying though). Any thoughts or suggestions?
