Things to do in Tulsa?

I am ready to go. I have been waiting for the fiscal year (Happy New Year!) to declare action on several large ambitions. There is only one question that remains to be asked here: What are some fun things to do in Tulsa, Oklahoma for Labor Day Weekend? (I will have a rental car).

Where can I buy a new couch?

$50 at goodwill, $1500 bucks new - isn't there a middle ground for buying couches? Where can I find a new $300-$700 couch? One that doesn't look like grandma's potpouri threw up on it? I live in tulsa, but i'm not adverse to buying online. Mostly I'm looking for soft fabrics, overstuffed, and comfy. Something in a recliner or a sectional would be nice, but i understand my price concerns will probably take those options out.

how can i entertain my mom in tulsa

what can we do in tulsa on tuesday? or how to entertain two teenagers, two 40 year olds, and my grandmother on very short notice. my mother, stepfather, stepbrother, nephew, and possibly grandmother are coming into town for one day. i just moved here (owasso, really). we don't have a couch, so we'll probably be going out to do something. but what? the ages range from 15-65. we haven't seen each other in 5 or 6 years, so somewhere we can visit (no movies or shows) that won't kick us out after our meal is over.

any ideas?

For instance, does tulsa have any World Record size corn dogs?

I'm going to tulsa in a month. I recently ate the biggest steak in Amarillo - 72 oz - at the big texan. Is there anything similar in Tulsa I should sacrifice my health for? The world's biggest cheeseburger? A dinner roll the size of a baby? Anything? I know. It's silly. And it's probably going to cost me 100 bucks for 40 dollars worth of chow. But I'm on a mission now. And I need to do it before my inevitable ulcers kick in when I hit 40.

So what can I consume in Tulsa or nearby that is of heroic proportions and that will make a fine addition to my facebook achievements?

Also, any general non-epic food suggestions for Tulsa tourism (or thereabouts) are also welcome.

Good piano teacher for kids in Tulsa?

Looking for a good piano teacher for my six-year-old son in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My six-year-old son is really wanting to learn how to play the piano, and we've decided to let him take lessons. I'm looking for a teacher who is good with young kids, in the Tulsa area. I don't have friends or family here who have had young kids taking piano lessons, so I'm hoping to find some recommendations of who you all like (or don't like), and what you like (or don't like) about them.

If you know the approximate price for lessons, that would be great, too, although price is a somewhat secondary consideration. Mainly I want someone who loves kids and is good at teaching them.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have!
