I'm visiting family in Tucson the 24th - 30th and I'm flying my road bike in from San Francisco. I'm intending to get a lot of riding done while I'm there since I've signed up to participate in the Rapha Festive 500
I'm looking forward to doing some great riding including Mt. Lemon (I'll be staying up in the Oro Valley area). While I'm there I'd love to also tap into any cool cycle-culture type stuff the city of Tucson may have to offer. Are there any great cycle coffee shops? Brew pubs? LBS's with some actual community to them? Any group rides or cycle clubs that really embody the Tucson community.
While I'll only have my roadie with me I'm also into fixed gear riding in SF. I don't know if that's a thing in Tucson, but would love to know of stuff in regards to that too. I know there is a strong senior cycle community out there, but for what it's worth I'm a 31 year old male.

Know any blogs, websites or online publications that talk regularly about Tucson, AZ or are authored by people that live in Tucson? Particularly interesting might be ones that lean toward "lifestyle" "craft" "cooking" "outdoors/hiking" or even "mommy" blogs from the Tuscon area... [more inside]

Partner and I are deciding which of his grad school offers to accept/which new town to move to next year: Austin, TX, Athens, GA or Tucson, AZ currently. What resources/methods can I use to help me figure out if I will be able to find a job in these places? [more inside]

I have mental health issues and I need to see a therapist, a psychiatrist, and have my medications prescribed/refilled regularly. I'm moving next month to be with my significant other (not married), but I'll lose my health insurance which is through my current state. Where do I get these mental health services at a reduced cost as an uninsured person in Tucson, AZ? [more inside]

Looking for a couples therapist in Tucson, Az. We're young, not married, but need some professional help. If you have specific recommendations, MeMail me. Otherwise, if you have a suggestion where to look for a recommendation, that would be great too. Thanks!

I'm thinking about relocating to two cities that are wildly different.
One city is Portland, OR and the other is Tucson, AZ.
Yes, I have visited Portand, and I've visited Tucson and spent considerable time living in Phoenix.
I do not intend to buy. So here are questions: What can I rent for no more than $1000 per month? What neighborhoods should I consider? Avoid?
Is it realistically possible to live in Portland without a car? By that I mean within a 5-minute walk of groceries and other needed shops, like a pharmacy.
Yes, I know it rains a lot in Portland, and that Tucson gets hot and almost never sees rain. Getting rid of the car has been a long-term goal, so that's why Portland is on the list. Otherwise, Arizona holds much more appeal.

I'm trying to get my parents set up with high-speed cable Internet on top of their cable TV service. They're in the Tucson, AZ burbs and their cable provider is Comcast. Google searches return "broadband resellers" who offer special deals (e.g. free cable modem+free router+$19.95/mo for six months) that don't appear on Comcast's official site. Are these resellers legit? Has anybody used them? Anything I should be wary of?
[Comcast offers a combined cable/phone/internet package, but that's not available to my parents since digital phone is not yet supported where they live.]

I'm going to be in Tucson from 24 Apr to 14 May. I'll be working during the week, won't have my own transport, and will be staying near the main interstate (just south of the centre). I'm thinking of getting on a Greyhound Fri 6 May and going to Phoenix for the weekend. Any other suggestions? I like wandering round cities, looking in shops (especially books + music, since these are not easy to find in Chile), and museums of art/design/craft. But I'll have my laptop, so if there's a cool place to just sit around in and program one weekend, that could be good. Live music might be an attraction too. Oh, and during the weekdays I'll be up in the university campus. Thanks!

TUCSON - what's the name of the little community tennis center on the south side of town? It has a small clubhouse and lots of outdoor courts. It is more of a public/municipal venture -- not a private club. Sorry I can't be more specific on location (that's part of my confusion), but I'm fairly certain it was south of downtown.
