We are having bath trouble. The bond between the structure of the bath and the acrylic surface has broken, and when you step in the bath, the acrylic warps/bubbles. The acrylic is definitely going to crack at some point! What can we do?

My fiancee and I moved into an amazing apartment which has everything we wanted...except a bathtub. The shower is porn-worthy: 2 shower heads, a big window looking over the city, and even a fully-tiled cubby with a step up...and it's 6 feet by 5 feet. The cubby is about 3 feet by 2 feet.

Our new home came with a wonderful bath tub jacuzzi but with a nasty problem. When we fill the tub up with water and turn on the air jets all this nasty gunk and junk comes out of the tubes and makes the water disgusting. Is there a way to clean this out or to flush the pipes? I've tried running the jets and cleaning them out around 15 times and this crud still comes out.

I'm in an apartment with a white bathtub that has some scratches (or maybe burns? they look dark brown) that reveal the underlying bronze-looking metal. Is there any really simple cheap way to cover over those scratches (other than a bathtub mat)? Perhaps some kind of simple "white-out" like spray that would do the job?

My (toddler?) 16 mo old son has developed a new habit at bath time: standing. While he has been a little hesitant to go walking solo outside the tub -- inside the tub he has suddenly become enthralled with the idea. Any suggestions on how to handle what has become a standing.. sponge bath?

So I've read the previous questions on bath tub refinishing, the most recent of which, according to what I found, was two years ago. We have a fiberglass tub/enclosure that was put in when the house was framed 24 years ago. It's showing its age.

Does anybody have experience with painting a bath tub? I heard about using the plastic krylon spray paint that you can buy at wal-mart which is supposed to bond to acrylic, I'm wondering if anybody has tried this? How about using a refinishing kit?
