A (Very) Little Somethin'-Somethin'

Why yes, I WOULD like a (non-free) sample! So the discovery of perfume decant vials and snack samples (like Nuts.com and Sugarfina's sample packs/tasting bags) have greatly enhanced my life. What other things (food/drink and health/beauty are categories that immediately come to mind, but I'm open to ALL things) are readily available for purchase in sample sizes? Note that I'm NOT interested in beauty or snack subscription boxes... I'd like items that I choose, in quantities I choose, on a non-recurring basis.

Pennsylvania Omnibus Pre-Trial Motion to Suppress Statement and Evidence

What visual aids should I make to bring to a jury trial, and how?

I am going to have a day in court. There is an amount of relatively simple 2-dimensional data central to my case, that tracks the course two variable quantities over 9 years. I want the jury members to understand this data as easily and as well as can be. I'm guessing a few colored charts with x=time and y=the quantities would be a good way to accomplish this. But what exactly should I prepare to a accomplish this, in terms of size and layout? And what free software tools should I use to do it? [more inside]

On Being Framed

Help me find this news story involving a policeman and a prostitute

I am not sure I recall the details correctly, but I am amused by a news story in my memory. I think my memory is accurate, so here goes. A police officer is testifying in court about his (commercial and sexual) relationship with a prostitute, with whom he had sex in the course of an anti-prostitution sting. The officer is questioned by opposing counsel about whether he climaxed. He explains that he did, but that he didn't take any pleasure in it. Can you give me a link to this news story or tell me where I read it?

How many times can a defendant fire his defense attorney?

How many times can a defendant dismiss his defense attorney, probably in an attempt to delay prosecution? A little over a year ago, my next door neighbor did a Very Bad Thing. Please believe me when I say there is no doubt that he did the thing he is accused of. When he is finally convicted, he will probably go to prison for the rest of his life. [more inside]

I mean, he deserves to fry, but so quickly?

Why is the Sandusky trial moving so quickly? In my area the high profile cases seem to take months, if not years, to come to trial, and then the trials themselves take weeks or months. Sandusky's trial started last week and I believe the judge told the jury that they will likely have the case on Thursday. Explain? [more inside]

Comcast Arbitration Agreement by Customer Inaction

Hidden among various other breathtakingly evil clauses, part 13 of the Comcast Agreement for Residential Services says that if the customer doesn't opt out within 30 days of receiving the dense legalese, he gives up the right to sue Comcast in a public court. But (in clause 15g), Comcast maintains the right to sue the user any time they like. Is this stuff enforceable? YMOMNBAL

What happened to the bad guys? Did they get away with it?

How do I find out the results of a trial? Every so often you hear about a murder or crime or something and somebody gets arrested. But it seems like you rarely hear how it ends.
