I've planned a trip from Katmandu to Everest Base Camp, and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for touring/trekking companies.

I am in Bariloche and I´m going to do the Nahuel Huapi Traverse the day after tomorrow (taking either 3 or 5 days if I have the time.) I want to get to El Chaltén and spend 5 days trekking around Monte Fitz Roy and Laguna Torre. I would also like to spend a day at Parque Nacional Los Glaciares near El Calafate. Then I have to get to Punta Arenas to fly out March 1st. That leaves me with a little less than a week to work with.

Are there any great mixed rural/small-town/semi-urban long walks in the U.S.? I'm searching for multi-day, maybe even multi-week routes that are not strict backpacking and would not require the carrying of a tent. More inside.

I want to go on a spiritual quest in central Asia, and my current best idea is one of the many advertised 20+ day guided treks to Tibet and/or Nepal. I have extensive day hike experience in the western US, and I've spent a few weeks working in Shanghai, but I otherwise have no backpacking or international travel experience. Looking for tour company recommendations and curious about the best time of year to go, in addition to anything else I should know about travel and trekking in the Himalayas.

Looking for ideas for a 3-5 day hike in February, easy to intermediate level, and maybe with a hut-to-hut or home-to-home element. Focusing on North and South America or Europe, and with a preference for decent weather. Any thoughts?

We're going to be hiking to Everest Base Camp and right now we're trying to figure out the logistics of our very long commute. We're traveling to Nepal from the US, and will be landing in Delhi on October 9th around 9 PM. Our flight to Kathmandu leaves the next day at at 3 PM. Is it safe and/or reasonable to stay the night in the Delhi airport? Or would it be easier to book a hotel or homestay in the area?

I'm going to be trekking to Everest Base Camp in 8 weeks time. It's a 14 day trek, which is both longer and higher than I've been before. I'm looking for advice on training for the trek.

[Trekking Filter] So we're planning our Summer trip and we have to decide between two treks: Trekking to Lhamo Lhatso (Visionary Lake) in Tibet or Trekking in Peru (classic Machu Picchu, lodge to lodge.) Any advice on which to chose?

I'm going to japan from march 9 until april 6, and I want to climb Mt Fuji, from the bottom to the top. How much snow should I expect? How cold is it going to be? Do I need to bring boots and 3 layers of technical outdoor clothing or a warm jacket and sneakers? My lonely planet says its doable, but thats pretty much it.
