I live in an apartment on an upper level unit. I wish I could buy a treadmill to use at home, but I think the noise will bother my neighbors too much. I'm looking for a good alternative. Do you know of any?

I'm looking for a low-maintenance treadmill I won't break within a few years that I can run, jog, and walk on at home at varying inclinations and speeds. Difficultyfilter: Must offer in-home delivery and professional assembly and be able to hold hardcover books up to ~800 pages in thickness, if such a thing exists.

Yesterday, I stepped up the intensity of my near-daily workout, and I'm really feeling it. I was ravenous all day yesterday, and particularly ravenous for the kinds of high-carb high-fat foods I've worked so hard to cut out of my diet. Also, I was very brain-tired; I was foggy and had trouble concentrating all day. Are these post-workout effects a sign of overdoing it, or of doing it right?

I'm looking at Craigslist for a treadmill (to build a walking desk). There seem to be a lot of Proforms and a few Nordics, with a smattering of other items. I'm leaning towards the Nordic, and want to find out: 1) What's a good price (they seem to be all over the map)? 2) What kind of questions should I ask the sellers? 3) Is there another brand/model that would work better for building a walking desk?

I've taken up walking on a treadmill lately, and as I ramp up the intensity I seem to be bruising one small spot on one foot. I'm not sure what I'm doing to cause it. It's not a shoe issue. I get this whether I'm wearing regular running shoes or my Vibrams.
