Things to do and consume around Sarasota and Bradenton

I'll be in the Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area this weekend for 3-4 days and was looking for suggestions on things to do. I was last there about 5 or 6 years ago so I've hit some of the highlights already (Ringling Museum, the Dali Museum and Busch Gardens). Any other suggestions would be great. [more inside]

Where should we go and what should we see in Germany and Switzerland?

My boyfriend and I will be meeting my dad in Berlin in mid-September. I've never been to Germany and my boyfriend has never been to Switzerland, and we'll be there a total of 10 days. How should we split up our time, and what should we see? My dad will be renting a car, so we're planning on driving between cities. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Where to go?

So I am pondering a trip to Scotland. I know nothing at all other than that I think it is beautiful. If I were trying to find some place to go that possibly included the following desires (listed after the general questions) A.) Are there any good websites to explore for booking purposes B.) Have you dealt with any companies that you really enjoyed... Desire list: B&B style accommodations, in the country, the greener the scenery-the better, horses are good & preferred, water for swimming is cool- but not absolutely needed, booze must be easily found, good food huge plus Any words or links of wisdom?

How do I get a new laptop fast?

I am an American living in overseas, and do not have access to computer stores. In addition, shipping here is prohibitively expensive (shipping a laptop via DHL's lowest cost option would be just over $500, and no retailer I have found ships here directly anyway.). I will be in Canada (Toronto) for two days, starting tomorrow, and need a new Thinkpad. Is this possible? Sights and activities for a two week trip to New Mexico for a budget traveller bumming a free ride.

Last minute trip down to New Mexico came out of no where but I'm leaving tomorrow with a backpack and wanted to know what one could do for a couple weeks. I don't even have enough time to grab a guidebook and my only plans so far are to read The Border Trilogy. The ride is stopping overnight somewhere Utah then finally in Taos. I've got little money to spend regardless, what should I see and do here? I'm looking for a relaxed, unique, authentic Southwest American experience.

Where can I stretch $20k the furthest?

I've got about $20k saved up and no real responsibilities. I'm quitting my job soon, and before heading to grad school sometime in the next year or two, I'd like to do some serious traveling. I haven't really been anywhere in the world, but I'm interested in everywhere. Where are the cheapest countries/regions to go to now, and how long can $20k last me there? The experience of traveling is what I'm after, so I really will be making my decision based on where my money will go the furthest.
