Priority list of things to see in Yosemite

36 Hours in Yosemite: I'll be attending a conference in San Francisco and will have most of the weekend to kill. We've already booked a hotel room just outside Yosemite National Park. I plan on seeing the Giant Sequoias, and generally just driving around. There's so much to see there that only 36 hours seems like a travesty. Alas. What are some must see things there that I can enjoy at a relatively relaxed pace in my short time there?

London or Frankfurt for the weekend?

I'll be taking an extended business trip at the end of August that will leave myself and a buddy with an empty weekend in either London or Frankfurt. I've been to London quite a few times but never Frankfurt. Can some well traveled mefites please share their opinion as to which city they would consider and why? We don't intend to do anything too cultural but don't want to be very bored either.

Current Events in Prague/Poland

I will be in Prague tomorrow morning and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything special going on there, Krakow, or Posnan in the next few weeks. I looked through the old Prague questions on AskMe and took note of the places mentioned but I was wondering if any locals knew of any special events in the area they could tip me off to. Thanks!

Fun stuff to do with kids in Vegas?

Fun stuff to do in Vegas with kids? We'll be there for 2 days, staying at Circus Circus, with 7-year old boy/girl twins. Haven't been there in 10 years. Besides walking the strip at night and doing the stuff at the hotel, what else do y'all recommend? Also, what's the rule on kids and casinos? If we take that walkway that goes into Caesar's, I seem to recall it drops you off right in the casino. Are we not allowed to even use this with children, or is it OK as long as we get them out of the casino area quickly?

What to put in a small care package?

My wife and I are looking to pack a carry-on care package for a friend who is flying to China soon. He will be staying there for a month on business. What kinds of things should I send on the plane with him? Just small things that would fit in say a quart size ziplock (or maybe something more creative than a ziplock). Perhaps stuff to do on the plane or maybe something useful once he gets to China? Just plain fun, stupid stuff is good too. [more inside]

Desperately seeking illustrated books on our future in space from 1960s, 70s and 80s

When I was a kid, my local library had a great selection of illustrated books focusing on the hypothectical future of space travel, life in space stations, space craft, planetary exploration. Some were pretty far out, but the most memorable were kind of "2001" in their theme and a bit more serious. After several google missions, and a swing through amazon's used and rare books, I've come up pretty much empty handed. Anyone else out there remember flipping through these books and planning your first trip to mars? Titles, authors, links or any hint what so ever would be appreciated!
